What kills me is the f-bomb Updyke callers that say they know in their heart that Auburn did something wrong. So do these same people know in their heart that Bama has not done anything wrong?
Get over it 28-27 never again !

I really am curious to see what would happen is every other team in the SEC went through not only the NCAA scrutiny that we have over the past year, but also the media scrutiny.
It really would be interesting.

Dunno. Tidefans seems to be an even bigger failure. Sorta boggles the mind the amount of time tuna and gumps on tidefans spent for no reason.
Seriously stunning and likely an unparralled level of fail and obsession in the entire history of any sport.

Honest question, was the letter a declaration of findings just for Cam and the HBO 4? If it didn't explicitly spell out that all is clear, the ATPBers will never go away.

Wrong.
First of all, I didn't see any links there.
Secondly, all I see is:
quote:
Cam Newton's father has admitted he discussed money with an ex-Mississippi State football player for his son to play at the school
Proves my point.
Did not see one thing that details how Cecil Newton approached the poor, innocent, Mississippi State boosters, was denied, and then "shopped" his offer to other schools, including Auburn.
That's because it didn't happen.
Did I mention you're wrong?

The other items were secondary violations around Tiger Prowl and Big Cat weekend. In other words, who gives a shite. Bama is the pace setter for those violations so bama fans are pretty hypocritical if they open their mouth on the issue.
Of course many are HUGE hypocrits so just business as usual I guess.

It was pretty broad the lady said something to the effect of "we looked (80 interviews, bank records, etc) , there's just nothing there"

No, it never said that there was nothing to the Thibidoux rumors ore anything, but it is also pretty reasonable to thing that if there was something at all to any of those stories, the NCAA wouldn't close out this case on Auburn because when they investigate one case, they pretty much go into a full program investigation.

Do you really believe that if there were lingering questions about any of the other far-fetched bullshite that the NCAA would go out of their way to officially declare the investigation into Auburn dead? If they thought Auburn paid for Robinson or something, they would still just close the book for good on the Cam and HBO situations?

The Pope could say Auburn is cleaner than Christ and the ATPBers would still be around.
The NCAA only addressed the Newtons and the HBO4. Those were the key issues media kept bringing up, and I'm not even sure the NCAA is actively investigating anything else Auburn related (officially). They probably are but they only addressed Cam and the HBO4, but I think you already knew that
