Seriously how much lower can they go?
Sooner or later they have to start trending upwards
Don’t they?

AU will be back very soon with the right coach. The transfer portal and NIL make it a quick recovery for a program. The fact that the SEC is expanding with UT and OU, makes the SEC status quo shaky in the future. Having 9 conference games and the new additions means teams will not have back-to-back easy conference games very often. Which means coaching will be a very important part of winning in the future. Again, find the right coach.

Well, you can't fall off the floor.

It’s got to be sad when even the refs can’t bail you out….vibes…

Auburn is about to start a cycle similar to what Tennessee has seen and Texas is about to continue. Auburn is a "good" job but the environment might end up dissuading some from taking it. They'll end up settling for somebody whose probably a "good" coach but ultimately won't meet standards. And on.

Look, this isn't something that has to be done over a 10-day period. I think the decision has been made who will be Harsin's replacement and they understand the "environment". Which is a large and supportive fanbase, a Conference that is not rivaled, a school that is very good, alumni with money and facilities that are in the upper half of the P5. Finally, they are located in an area that they can recruit to with some work.

They will beat LSU that's how the video works

Georgia rising from a tier 2 school to the top has killed them. They can't compete vs Bama and Georgia for talent now.

Not everything bounces. Drop an anvil and it just kinda sits there.
That’s an option too.

Who will be the next HC? Please tell us all right now since you said it has already been made who will be the next HC.

Who knows? But whoever it is the boosters will probably try to get rid of him if he doesn't immediately turn it around in the first season.

Not so sure. Coaches have to ask “why Auburn?”.

I guess Athens is in the middle of nowhere.

Auburn has a passionate fanbase, the key ingrediente to future success.
Even so, this looks like a long slow decline with good coaches having better options, and an awful lot to repair. Simply affording good players doesn’t overcome cultural shortcomings and administrative dysfunction.
Expansion of the SEC only adds to the problem. Teams relish beating Auburn and Oklahoma and Texas fans are already taking potshots at Auburn.

Auburn had made its job pretty damn unattractive to coaches considering the pressure and treatment put on Harsin.

Auburn has been competing against the two of them since inception of the conference! Aubie can compete with both with the right coach.
Could Arky and the rest of you say the same?
Bet your arse T-town and Athens are keeping an eye on this.
Aubie will be just fine thank you for your interest.

pressure and treatment out on Harsin
Pressure? It's the SEC. That is part of the job. SEC coaches don't get paid millions for no reason. As far as his treatment goes, the PTB will be a little nicer to him when our team stops shitting the bed every Saturday.
