How are you going to feel about Gus jumping ship tomorrow to go to the University of Arkansas, located in the beautiful Boston Mountains, in a little town called Fayettenam?

We are already Arkansas’ Super Bowl. God speed to Gus. Auburn was great before he got here. His record in big games is average at best.

I was for Auburn under Shug, Barfield, Dye, Tater Tot, Brother Oliver, Tubbs, Chizik and Malzahn.

I'll be for AU whenever the new coach starts.

Yep, that makes perfect sense. Gus wins tomorrow, but instead of preparing for the SECCG, he immediately announces that he's taking a job at a never-was, never-will-be, school.

Don't you have better things to do than start stupid threads?

Good luck with your 8-4 coach who cannot develop a q.b and routinely shits the bed against your rivals

I just can’t believe Arkansas fans are basically begging for Gus Malzahn to come there, especially after his high-school, Mickey Mouse offense would never work in the SEC. He’s also not near as good of a coach as Bret “Grown Man Football” Bielema.

ETA: It wouldn’t bother me if he left.

arkie's transition from "we hired a 3 time Rosebowl coach over your HS coach" to "we want your head coach because he's the right man for our job" has got to be one of the crazies flips in tRant history. arkie doesn't even have the pride to float names like Kelly or Gruden that they have no chance to get...I would guess they don't have a chance at Gus either.

I'm a Gus fan and would hate to see him go; however, if he did do it, it'd look an awful lot like he's lost the "fire in the belly" to chase the really big time. Plus, Arkie may have lower expectations, but there's also a much smaller talent pool with which to meet them; is that anything that anyone can really call "job security."

I still say this is all Jimmy Sexton noise anyway.

Arky fans are the "Sybil" of the SEC.

Taking a step down to escape the pressure to win? That should be frowned upon in a coaching search.

Jeff Long has been fired, GOBN is running things now.

But Bret went to consecutive Rose Bowls and won Big 10 coach of the year!? Maybe Arkansas is just where good coaches go to die?

I’d be curious if any coaches would follow Gus...including Horton who wants to be a HC.

I’d wouldn’t be too pissed. Auburn would hire a solid coach to replace Gus.

I’m glad Arkansas fans are realizing Gus is their #1 choice

It would tell me he didn't want compete anymore and was looking for less pressure. I wouldn't be sad to see a weak-willed man leave.
