What was your reason for being blown out Purdue? Or was it just an off night?

True. I don’t want to agree with Aubbie, but this is accurate. We shoot a ton of threes. Right now they’re dropping, but consistently they won’t. It’s like a baseball team that lives by the home run. Great pitching typically beats good hitting. Same with great defenses and good offense. Defense typically wins

These guys didn’t have the talent we have now. Our coach is a great recruiter.

Omoruyi being in foul trouble and having to sit, and Kaufman-Renn running wild as a result.

Blown out? We lost by 9. We trailed by 4 with 3 minutes left. Purdue is 56-4 at home the last 3 seasons.

We lost because they scored 87 points on 1.29 pts per possession. We didn't guard well enough. Their big abused us. We scored 78 points on 1.16 pts per possession - the offense was fine.

But they aren't dropping

Are you watching our games? This isn't 2021 where if we didn't make a barrage of 3s we struggled to score consistently. If making a bunch of 3s was a requirement for us to win we would not be 18-3 against the #2 toughest schedule in the country - because we have not been shooting 3s very well for the majority of the season.

Doubt he'll be a 70% shooter the rest of the way but he's slowly been making more and looking more comfortable the last few weeks. He was shooting 35% from 3 the 6 games before State, and of course he shot 40% last year. We desperately need it after Wrightsell went down.

If you are scared might as well talk to your doctor about what medicine would help you deal with being scared of that result.

I was there. We weren't "blown out" by Purdue. We had our best post defender in foul trouble, but still led by 6 with 11 to go and were only down 4 with 3:19 to play in one of the most hostile environments in the sport. Purdue also hit some absolutely ridiculous end-of-clock 3s in that game (from guys who never make those shots), and shot 56% from deep overall.

I feel that’s the equivalent of people who bemoan analytics in baseball. Harping on batting average.

He needs to be more consistent to do that.

To be an Alabama fan you sure don’t seem to know much about Alabama.

Honestly, at this point, I'm for trotting the bench players out there for 40 minutes and mailing in the SEC tournament.

So weak! I think most fans are looking forward to 4 epic matchups. It will elevate the rivalry! Everyone wants hardware. Might as well get as much as you can. When's the last time arky got some SEC hardware?

If LSU basketball were where Auburn and Bama sit now you'd be discussing it.

Where, at the rec? You previously claimed to be a Pike frat bro who was banging Kaitlin Collins.

I hate it admitting this, but if we dont get hot and I mean really hot, we’ll lose by 20+. Aubbie has stepped up their defense. Offensive rebounds has saved us from being down even more. If we’re hot we win. If we’re not, we get ran out of the building today. Hopefully we can learn from this for round 2 soon
