LSU since 200 for sure. Not by a lot but certainly I give them the nod

In the past 8-10 years, Auburn by about the same edge. LSU has only been a true player one year since 2007. Auburn has been a player two times and on the verge again.

LSU since 2000 with Auburn closing the gap right now

LSU more or less had their fate determined by Alabama in 2012 and 2013. They win those games, they're in play to win the West. And in 2015 they were #2 in the country heading into that game and the wheels fell off after. I think people tailor words like "relevant" or in your case "player" to fit whatever argument they're trying to make. I think you can be plenty relevant without being in the national title conversation the last week of the season. shite, in 2010 they finished in the top 5. Is that not a "true player"

And compared to Auburn in that same time frame, Auburn has been an 8 win type team more than they haven't, and that has been LSU's floor

What I am saying is, at the end of it all, Auburn was a player more than LSU since 2008. Not bad on LSU, they have been pretty strong. And you really cant use the Alabama card, we play them every year as well.

Some of the games between LSU and AU have been absolute fricking barn burners in that time frame. One of my favorite games of the year, you bastards.

You have to consider that 3 of those h2h matchups were absolute robberies w ref gate scenarios in 2004 & 2006 & 2016. The series is lopsided without those three stolen games. Robbed of a blocked field goal to go to OT in 2004, about a dozen illegitimate plays in the most egregious officiating in SEC history with ref gate in 2006, and the snap that was not allowed to happen in 2016. Idk how they get away with it tbh.

Another data point

AU has 9 seasons with 5 or more losses.
LSU has 3.

All that matters is where they are now and Auburn is better off. LSU hasnt done anything that shows they are headed in the right direction.

I agree 2004 LSU got screwed on the non pi call
But in 2016 that clock had clearly hit zero. Clearly. I saw it in real speed before the refs called it.

Seriously, only a totally blind homer thinks they got that snap off

OP, stick to starting threads on the TR OT about how many men it would take to subdue a gorilla with no tools.

It was what ended up being a long arse thread on the OT yesterday started by the OP of this thread. I will go look it up and link it here for you.

This is like getting pissed at an Auburn fan for saying "if" Auburn wins in 04. If my aunt had a dick... you know the rest of the analogy. Results are all that matter. LSU has the edge. This game is great every year. I hope it stays that way. Seems like it's lost a little luster with Bama being the end all in the West.

Consecutive 10+ win seasons since 2000

LSU - 3 consecutive years and another 4 consecutive year stretch of 10+ wins

AU - zero times since 2000 (and only ONCE in program history - nearly 30 years ago).

The correct answer is LSU
