Just truly sad news for his family, the entire Auburn family and everyone involved. And a reminder that all of is can be taken from our families at any time . RIP Brambletts.

It's vehicular homicide whether you're 16 or 61.
It's very sad but the kid was driving a 2 ton weapon.
But not if you're in Lubbock and you're the coach's wife. Not even sure she got cited in the serious crash that led to a man's death.

I’m just waking up to the terrible news. My condolences to the Bramblett family and to my fellow members of the Auburn family.
I thought the same exact thing in 03. I grew up listening to Jim Fyffe all the way back to before Bo Over the Top. To me he was Auburn football. When we lost him I was crushed. When Rod took over I was skeptical at best that he would be able to hold a candle to Jim. But he did. It took a little time as these things do. The first time I heard him give a “TOUCHDOWN AUBURNNNNN!”, I’ll admit it was awkward. But he did become the voice of the Auburn family. Hearing him calls from “Go crazy, Cadillac” to the legendary final play of the Kick Six game stands shoulder to shoulder with all the legendary calls by Jim Fyffe. The final sentence of the Auburn Creed reads “I believe in Auburn and love it”. Rod Bramlett embodied these words.
Rest In Peace and War Eagle, Rod Bramlett.

I remember when he took over for Fyffe (who was incredible). I told my buddy,"he has a tough job winning over the fan base, having to follow Fyffe, but if he can, he'll have that job for the next 40 years".

At least he got to call a Final4.
His PlaybyPlay during the SEC Tournament Championship Game against Tennessee was one of the best Ive ever heard in College Sports.

As an Alabama fan I'm saddened hearing the news. Rod was a true Auburn homer calling games which is what you want for your team's play by play announcer. His love & passion for Auburn really came across for Auburn touchdowns. He became a legend after successfully replacing one. Prayers to my Auburn brothers & sisters out there.

People have different coping mechanisms.
It's not necessary to berate people calling for (probably justified) charges on the 16 year old just as it's not necessary to call for charges.
Bramblett was as much Auburn as Shug or Barkley, and one of the best in the business. I'll always remember his iconic calls.

I know personally I would lose the will to live if I were in that situation. But then again we don’t have any children. Hopefully his resolve is stronger than mine.
I will tell you from experience when a death happens that was unexpected, you feel this way for a while then you somehow learn to deal with it. Each person within themselves has something or someone that they will lean on to help them gain time. Another second, another hour, another day.
You may remember that I went through something like that a few years back when my 30 year old daughter had a heart attack out of no where. Yesterday was her birthday and she would have been 32.
I feel so bad for Rod's kids. Losing both their parents without being about to say goodbye will be the hardest. It was for me. They will learn to cope with it but it will not be easy.
I, like you, use my wife and would have a hard time moving on without her. We have been together for almost 35 years. Im not sure I even know how to do things without her.
RIP Rod and War Eagle. I feel so sad for someone that I have never even met.

What's wrong with his post? He posted a common meme for when you're sad.

Lanier- very late prayers for you, your wife and daughter. I’m pretty positive I never saw that posted before. You’re a strong man.
