Sickening since hearing the news this early a.m. As a State fan and listening to Bramlett over the last 15+ years I always enjoyed his play by play and delivery. Listening to him on JOX interviews on occasion over the last 6-7 years, I really liked him as a person. Could tell he was a humble man and loved his job. RIP Mr. & Mrs. Bramlett and prayers for their two kids and family members and of course the Auburn family.

The fact that some newbie 16 year old kid rear ended them and was probably texting and driving while speeding really bothers me.

I just heard the news this morning. Prayers for all involved, he seamed like a really good guy. Auburn seems to have to many of these tragedies.

Yeah it's pretty crazy that they died after being rear-ended. The teenager must have being traveling at a very high rate of speed. Does anyone know the details?

Rod was a true Auburn homer calling games which is what you want for your team's play by play announcer. His love & passion for Auburn really came across for Auburn touchdowns. He became a legend after successfully replacing one.

Very well said. I echo those sentiments

Details on the accident haven't been released. I am sure on this one that the Police Department wants to make sure they have all their facts right before saying anything and making any decisions which is the right want to go.

How awful. I’m sick to my stomach reading this. No one should have to go through that.

Damn. Very sad to hear. Hearing his calls for Kick 6 and the Georgia game still get me fired up. Prayers from SD. Thoughts are with the family and the Auburn community.

Fellow brothers, y'all be careful & safe on these roadways. I know Rod's tragic accident happened as he was waiting at an intersection but lots of distracted driving & green flag racing going on these days. Prayers to fellow Auburn friends & family.

Lanier- very late prayers for you, your wife and daughter. I’m pretty positive I never saw that posted before. You’re a strong man.

Not really that strong. But I appreciate that. It took a lot of agave to get me through that.

So sorry for Rod's kids. Losing both their parents at one time is hard to think about.

What was the kid driving and how fast was he going to kill them from a rear end collision? The wreck must have been horrible.

RTFA.

Kid was driving a Jeep.

An educated guess would be that he spun them around and hit them more than once or he spun them around and they hit a pole, tree, culvert. There aren't any details yet about speed or distracted driving.

The report from the police on what happened is going to be very interesting. I want to see or hear what they have to say but I also want them to make sure they have all the facts first before they say anything.

I'm expecting a press conference probably tomorrow.

Sad news. Being an LSU fan can’t say I got to hear his calls. Any Auburn fans have any classic calls of his they could post? Or favorite calls of his? Sorry for your loss.
