Here's the thing though, Alabama could easily counterattack and claim 1945, 66, 75, and 77.

VERY impressive! I don't care who you are! You tied somebody 0-0?

And in 2004 you were DEFINITELY robbed.

That's what I was thinking. Don't get me wrong...I can see Auburn's point on a couple of those. But this seems to be getting out of hand.

I did read the article. Auburn will discuss whether or not to add some NC's. Nowhere in it did it say Auburn would add all of them. It's not for certain Auburn will "claim" any of them.

If they were not at least willing to claim them...why discuss them?

Big Deal. Since you guys have only been relevant in the last 30 years or so, you can't claim any titles before that.
While us, Bama, Auburn, and Ole Miss tradition and history goes back a CENTURY or more.

Hmmmm....only the last 30 years? How many NCs does Florida have and how many does LSU have?

We've played each other 60 times (and annually since 1971), so y'all must have a huge lead in the series I'd imagine. Right?

Certainly LSU has a HUGE lead on you. You've only been relative for 30 years.

Certainly you don't consider yourself on the same level as LSU.

Some people want to "claim" some. Most I know don't. That is why it will be discussed. People are making a mountain out of a molehill. I have always thought that Auburn should "claim" 1913 and 1914. Auburn took the stance that they would only "claim" NC's from AP and UPI. It will be discussed. I doubt anything will change. Those teams will continue to be "recognized" as NC's.

Certainly some of those years were very impressive, and I could easily see why Auburn would want to claim them. I wish, though, that there were more definite ways to determine NC's.
Seems counterproductive to have 3-4 teams claiming to be National Champion of one year. (Not that I know of this occurring, but you get what I mean)

They were, just unofficially. They are just doing it surreptitiously so people won't realize they will be the only program in the last 40 plus years to claim a non AP/UPI/BCS NC.

I don't know why that would stop your fans. I'very seen some of your fans literally question all but 3 of Bama's titles (1979, 1992, 2009). Bama fans catch hell for claiming AP titles that every single school in America claims. I hope you guys claim all the ones yall are considering because it will completely obliterate the "fake" championship high horse Auburn fans sit on in regards to Alabama's claims.

I think its because Alabama claims championships in years they lost their bowl games. ie, how can you claim to be the champs when you lose your bowl game?

in before thats the way it was done therefore legit.
