We Might as well give our football program a self imposed Death Penalty for doing the same thing that every other SEC school not named Vanderbilt does every year.

Jeez I hope State isn't cheating. How shitty would it be to cheat and not win jack.

I never understood that shite. When former players are talking (supposedly on tape) about P4P and making phone calls, texting and setting up meetings with coaches & parents as part of the bidding process, it don't look too damn good for the school that biddin. Of course it looks shady for the school that pimp daddy & son signed with too. But, MSU and their former players don't look clean either.

Considering that Cam went to Auburn instead of State it couldn't have been that dirty of stuff going on by the behalf of Mississippi State.

I know, I know. It's impossible to fathom the Newtons only considered your zero SEC-championship-having-school because they tried to buy him, and then ultimately realized that it wasn't worth the potential consequences and decided to go legitimately to a team close to home with the best OL in the country.

Probably too late for public opinion to care, but hopefully it will put to bed once and for all that the only dirty shite that went down with Cam was on your end.

We clean.

Surely you aren't this stupid. No program is clean, except maybe the really bad ones.

Didn't Cecil already admit to trying to solicit money from MSU? And that said money was never actually offered to them by the school.. so what exactly are they investigating if this has already been established?

Only thing really left to investigate in this matter is if Cam actually got paid at Auburn.

I wonder who was paid more? McClover or the driver of the car that wrecked in Argentina on the bird hunting trip?

I don't recall shite getting out about former players at other schools acting as agents on behalf of their school - while soliciting money and arranging phone calls, meetings and sending text messages between the parties/parents/coaches involved.

When the Newton shite hit the airwaves, it was pretty original to the SEC & the NCAA because they didn't know how the hell to addres it.

All I'm sayin is, don't be so giddy to have the NCAA digging around this anymore than they already have. The NCAA absolutely CAN NOT allow former players to act as agents in P4P schemes without there being some type of punishment/penalty for the school he's brokering for.

And, the NCAA can not let parents run around pimping out their kids to the highest bidder without some consequences either.

One person acted as an agent. That person had not been associated with the university for over a decade.

What exactly are they saying that we are being investigated for???

This is where the tapes will come out if State is being truly investigated, and they do exist, I have sat at Bond's table and listened to one of them, well about 30 minutes of one. My best friend is neighbors with him and when HBO came sniffing Stricklin put the muzzle on Bond. Flame away Auburn and say there are no tapes, I really don't give a rats arse. Ya'll had better hope State is not under investigation, because it won't go down good for either one of us. I hope as one UA poster said, let this shite go away.
