I am not in favor of ISU in a major bowl game again this year. No way that team will compete against better roster and a HC that is also very good. ISU HC may be a good HC but can't recruit a top 20 class. That is not going to work. For some reason still think he can compete against a much better roster and be competitive. If he does it again and will anyone pick him up next year?
Drinkwitz is doing a lot better in recruiting. That is how to get the team to be ranked and start to compete against top team. Mizzou is about a year or 2 away to compete for the SEC east division.

Ole Miss should be higher up in the bowl game and ISU is higher than Ole Miss. That is what I do not agree. Ole Miss plays in a much tougher conference and should play ISU to prove a point!

Dream on! No way that is not what this article projected Missouri in a bowl game.

The way the system is set up is int years that the Sugar is not a playoff game, then the SEC and Big 12 Champions play in the Sugar Bowl. If one or both make the CFP, then the next highest ranked SEC and Big 12 teams play. So, Athlon's has Oklahoma in the CFP. This leaves Iowa State to go to the Sugar as the next highest Big 12 team.

I bet Texas will be one of the top team in the Big 12, not ISU. Maybe 3rd best team. That is why I am saying Talents does make a huge difference. No one wanted ISU HC? Auburn and Texas didn't go after him.

Well, then according to your predictions Texas will be in the Sugar Bowl. We shall see.

They have their entire O Line returning, and their QB/RB combo is one of the best in the nation.
They also have their entire front 7 returning on defense, and that unit includes the best defensive player in the conference, and another guy was Big12 sack leader.
They are returning a ton of experience, and can absolutely follow up last season’s Fiesta Bowl victory with another NY6 invite.

I think the OP is just a Mizzou fan who remembers Iowa State as a Big 8/12 whipping boy and can't accept the fact that their program is presently better than Mizzou's, and is jealous that Iowa State went to a major bowl and is projected to another, while his team hasn't been to one since LBJ was in office.

Clemson, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Alabama. How refreshing.

How does a 6-6/7-5 Ole Miss team get a New Year’s Six Bowl against a Miami team that likely won’t be there either?
Posted on 6/12/21 at 8:28 pm to Lsuhoohoo
They really went out on a limb with those playoff projections.

Please God no please don’t start with the Texas is back phrase again. I hear it every year and every year Texas falls flat on its face and loses 4,5, or 6 games. Let’s make them prove it this year before that phrase gets going around.
