One thing to add though is I think Arkansas is kinda in the position Tennessee has found itself on a smaller scale. Arkansas had some real prestige from the 60s through the 80s that could draw in good talent from surrounding states, and having the state to themselves with some with some wealthy alumni gave them an early leg up on facilities, but TV deals and the money that comes with it has done Arkansas no favors imo. I think it has just allowed OM, State, and Arkansas to improve/regress more towards a common mean, and with enough money now to be competitive in coaching salaries and facility upgrades you are seeing Arkansas suffer as OM and State are able to take more advantage of their natural recruiting advantages.

And obviously having Texas A&M join the conference and hampering Arkansas Texas niche has not helped either but that is a whole other discussion.

But when you look at both from a historical perspective, it's really not even close.

I think this is a bit hyperbolic. OM and Arkansas are probably closer to one another in historical success than any two teams in the conference with Arkansas having the edge. You are putting too much stock into western division championships, as much as I would like one.

Compare the two on winsipedia. There's no comparison. It's a real laugher when you see how much better we are.

It's so incredibly obvious yet no college football analyst, broadcaster, reporter, etc... are out here preaching this.

Why is this the case?
Why is this thread even here?
Why was one coach courted by both and chose one even after being presented with some "memorandum of understanding"

One of these schools has enrollment that is increasing; the other does not. I’ll let y’all figure that one out.

Ole Miss and it's not close. Mississippi has decent instate talent. Arkansas produces a quality player once every few years.

Plus every time Arkansas keeps on hiring bad coaches they are just regressing more and more and making it harder for someone to come in and make a difference.

Arkansas vs Ole Miss: Better Job?

Right now? Ole Miss. Arkansas is a much bigger rebuild. However, over the long-term, I think they're pretty even with maybe a slight edge going to Arkansas comparing success the past 20 years, facilities, financial resources, etc. The thing that really hurts Arkansas is in-state recruiting and having to fight for recruits with Oklahoma, the Texas schools, LSU etc in their pipeline states.

More bowls, more conference championships, more trips to Atlanta, more all americans, more draft picks, more wins, series head to head crown, way more weeks ranked....

You are not very far ahead in any of those categories outside of conference championships, and I don’t think it’s fair to compare a majority history in the SEC vs SWC.

Tell me more about all those bowls though, how do those typically turn out?

Thanks for reminding me...one of the only things y'all are truly better at is cheating. You guys are one of the most sanctioned schools in history. Every time y'all are "good" sanctions come a few years later.

Let’s talk about now, shall we? That’s what truly counts, right?
