It has been said that Petrino hired her but he only selected her from a pool of candidates who were more qualified than her.
Long is the only one who has the final say in that hire. He had plenty of time to look over her resume and figure out that the other candidates were more qualified for the job.
Isn't it suspicious that a head football coach of a major university who is married has been hanging out with a volleyball player from the university?
Petrino has been seen with Dorrell for several months before she was hired.
It really isn't the business of anyone to get into his personal life but when you have a state employee who is with a volleyball player like they are a married couple then that raises some questions because a state employee like himself who is the face of Arkansas football.
I believe and this is my theory is that the only reason Long hired her is because he was having an affair with her as well.
Then when Petrino was under an investigation, he pulled out the ignorance card and faked his emotions so that he could distance himself from Petrino.
He used Petrino to elevate himself as some man of integrity and used that fame to get himself a position on the playoff committee.
When he was at Kansas he hired Snoop Dog at a basketball game that included girls, poles and guns shooting out fake money.
Apparently that upset folks at Kansas and Long said it wasn't my idea but Snoop Dog but Snoop Dog fired back and said that he lied and told him that this is what he wanted done.
So who is lying here, man of integrity Jeff Long or Snoop Dog?
Long hired Les Miles. Kansas finds out that Les Miles had sexual misconduct allegations from his days at LSU. He was fired.
Long and Miles go way back and have been friends for years. So again he knew about the allegations but hired him anyway.
After Miles was fired, Kansas was going after Long but he resigned. Probably because he was going to get fired and forfeit his buyout.

This happens to be Jessica Dorrell who suffered no injuries. She drove away in her own car. Petrino was taken by officer Lance King to a hospital.
I heard stories over the years that her fiance was with her in a vehicle and that he ran Petrino off the road.
