And that’s part of the problem.

Drinkwitz is out to crush their souls and they’re just like “You are absolutely NOT our rival.”

Tanks rolling through their stadium and they’re filing their fingernails.

Drink needs to warm the team up like this on the field at least once...

That's how they come out of the tunnel. It's not as hyped as the Kardashian yoga poses, but it's getting there.

If they really did that coming out of the tunnel, it would top Enter Sandman for me. I would instantly become a Mizzou fan if he did that.

Now let's be honest... I don't think there's a single SEC fan outside of Fayetteville who wakes up thinking, "You know who our biggest rival is? Arkansas!" Calling them SEC bottom dwellers is almost generous. A rivalry requires two teams that actually give each other a reason to care. Let's not confuse conference membership with relevance. ??

Mizzou and Arkansas arent traditional rivals though.

Arkansas only had two old rivals traditionally.

Texas
Ole Miss

I always thought Mizzous only real rivalry was with Kansas.

These new age forced rivalry things are kind of dumb.

Those were the old traditional rivals but Arkansas doesn't have any rivals currently and probably never will.

They are the only member of the SEC that doesn't have one.

Well I will always consider Arkansas a rival.

The SEC office ending the series is a travesty.

Yeah it's specifically our attitude towards Missouri. No one else has been beating us.

I do consider Ole Miss a rival.

It was the most heated rilvalry in the 60s to the point that they decided to not play each other for the next 20 years.

That cooled off significantly but it was still intense and I believe had they not stopped playing each other during those 20 years, it would have been a much bigger deal now.

We were big enough rivals that Ole Miss spearheaded the effort to get Arkansas into the SEC. They wanted another team in the conference they could have a big rivalry game with. That and they wanted to poach players from SE Arkansas. Something they still do.

Maybe, but you play the teams on your schedule.

We don't beat anybody. It's hard to have a rival when you don't win against ANY SEC teams. FFS, leave us alone. We don't give a rat's arse about football. The excitement at Razorback Stadium resembles the anticipation of going to a proctologist appt and getting arse fingered by a dude doc with fenceposts for fingers.

Seriously, our football program is a fricking turd. Our administration and AD have made sure of that.

I get that.

Oklahoma and Texas beat the ever-loving crap out of us for years. They don’t consider us rivals. But I hate them. Mizzou fans hate them.

It’s like Arkansas fans can’t even drum up any hate for anyone. It’s sad.

The SEC office only cares about the old guard in the SEC.

They will protect rivalries for these programs and rolled the red carpet for newcomers Texas and Oklahoma.

When you are at the bottom, no one asks your thoughts and opinions. You do as you are told.

It isn't as bad as the SWC when every member of that conference was fighting against you on every turn.

To be fair, they've pretty much given up on the "we don't care about the game" excuse.

It used to be fun to throw it back at them. But now you just shake your head and wish them well.

Though I suspect they hate that even more.

Arkansas fans are more angry at the AD and the program that they aren't paying attention to the events surrounding them.

So this season is not a priority for them when more pressing matters need to be attended to.

Us yanks are way better at this rivalry thing. We’d rather spearhead Kansas to the MAC.

I remember the Cotton Bowl game the year Houston Nutt was fired. When we found out our opponent would be Missouri it was like why bother? Not mention y'all and aTm coming into the SEC ended our annual Friday after T-day game with LSU.

As a Mizzou fan I use to really push for this rivalry to become something much more, as it does make sense in a geographical sense. That being said, I just feel bad for the folks in Fayettenam -- I have a freshman there and they are passionate fans. When I am in town for a Mizzou event, they don't bark at me, or even talk much smack. The bloodlust hate that we have for kU and what they show us, is just something that can not really be artifically generated.

...and that's even after suit-case Mike left us in the middle of the night to go down there.

I really just want to see these guys become relevant in football again, basketball is great, baseball is also awesome, but I want to see them return to the mighty program they once were.
