It's more than just playing against them, winning and losing etc.

We aren't a rival because quite honestly, much of North Arkansas loves Missouri. They are part of the Ozarks, we vacation there, we camp there, we go to Branson and have fun there.

A lot of people in Arknasas are Chief's fans and have season tickets.. I know a lot of people that drive up for every game.

As a city, Kansas City is the best we have, Little Rock is closer but you will get murdered going there. Tulsa is not really a city anymore.

The reality is this forced rival represents just how little the SEC office understands about the areas of the SEC. There really know nothing about Arkansas which is partly why we get constantly shite on by them.

Sankey represents the worst commissioner that the SEC has ever had, if he actually spent some time understanding the regions he would have known that this will never work. It's hard to hate a team/state when you spend so much time there having so much fun.

Texas is who we hate, and we hate them because we hate the people that live in Texas. Their entire state is shite, end of story.

I would almost consider LSU to be a rival of Arkansas. Not the level of Ole Miss-LSU or Alabama-LSU or what have you, but there have been some matchups that carried a lot of weight.

The Ice Bowl of 1947 ended 0-0
LSU ended the Hogs undefeated 22 game winning streak on January 1, 1965..14-7
Arkansas beat LSU in the Miracle on Markham in 2002 21-20 and won the West
Arkansas beat #1 LSU in 3OT in 2007 50-48

That is what the SEC thought of the LSU and Arkansas game.

Irrelevant and easily replaceable.

It’s been so bad for so long that I don’t think Arkansas has any rivals.

We all have our droughts, but Arkansas football is like Job and even Satan is starting to feel bad for them.

The SEC office moving the game in favor of Missouri ruined it.

They changed it back because of the complaints and they will keep screwing around to the point that it will make it almost impossible to make any meaningful games in the SEC.

Arkansas-Missouri really should be more of a rivalry.

The MIssouri game should be the first SEC game of the year, it would be a great kick off the season game for both teams.

Arkansas is Drink's major rival, not Mizzou's.

If they could establish that as a tradition it would guarantee the winner to be in first place in the SEC for at least a week!

Seriously, I don't hate the idea - far too often one team is on life support late in the season and the games haven't meant much.

To be fair to Anderson, most of the fans were happy for him as well as disappointed he left. He came in with us knowing Arkansas was his dream job. But we also knew he was at his limit with recruiting.

25% of your student body is from Texas. Of course, the Arkansas fan base includes a large number of folks who never set foot on campus (which is fine), and I sort of think that there is a bit of a disconnect between NW Arkansas and the rest of the state.

First conference game of the season would make a lot of sense.

LSU v Arkansas was becoming a real rivalry i thought.

The teams had some history like you mentioned. Border states. Playing it as a traditional end of season game was working out well. The games were hard fought.

Then the SEC offices just killed it. So stupid.
