Since this is for Name, Image, and Likeness, Arkansas should create national ads about integrity and ethics, about the value of being a man of your word. Put his name and image all through the ad. They paid to do it, but never once say he lacks any of those characteristics to prevent being sued for slander.

At this point, can we scrap this whole thing and start over with teams of Juco and D2/D3 players who just want to play football?

IDGAF what their 40 time is as long as they have heart and a passion to compete.

Read where Nico Imaleavin had the opportunity at Tenner to make additional NIL money by-GASP-actually appearing at events, autograph sessions, doing commercials, etc., you know, the REAL reason for NIL, and he refused. So as we all know/knew, this ain't about NIL but purely pay-for-play.

That contract is likely for a year, which means Madden did not fulfill his end of the agreement.

It's more likely that it requires x amount of photo ops, y amount of autographs, etc. Rather than a structured contract around a timeline. If an NIL contract states anything about having to be a part of the team or play x games, then it's a violation of a lot of the rules around NIL I believe.

Seems kind of simple, but if he didn't fulfill his end of the NIL contract (didn't show up to sign autographs at a car dealership, pimp Tyson's Dino Nugs on his socials enough, whatever...) then it should be an easy win for the collective.

If they signed a contract and did not honor the terms of said contract, why wouldn't they be subject to being sued for breach of contract? If the roles were reversed, you can bet the player would sue. Just ask Jalen Rashada.

I think up until this point the thinking's been 'don't fight back or other players won't want to come here'. However, at some point, and maybe this is it, someone has to say enough.

We suck at football anyway, so we're a great candidate to fall on that sword.

Likely as simple like a head coach. X year contract with a buyout clause. The collective paid for his NIL rights and now another collective is found the same so the Arkansas collective can collect whatever the stipulated buyout was for terminating the contract early.

But SidewalkTiger said you couldn’t tie NIL money to a specific school. He said if you required a player receiving NIL money to play at a specific school it was “pay for play” and a violation of the rules.
