Are ties really that bad?

Honestly, it seems like a more satisfactory ending than 8 OT

ETA: "overtimes" like this. Move the ball to the 50 and go back to 2 full/then mandated 2pt after TD. I promise you we'd never see another 7 old-OT game again

Yeah it’s pretty ridiculous that something like that counts as the same as a 20 point W in regulation.

Tech had no business losing that game. Between the fumble not called, the PI on 4th down on a tipped pass and the no targeting call on the fumble, UGA was gifted 21 points by the refs.

Yes. If it it ended in a tie, announcer dude couldn’t say convert this and Georgia’s in the playoffs 28x in a row.

No. They were the actual result of a game and there was nothing wrong with them when we had them.

No because the thing about ties is that teams used to play to avoid them at the end of games. Nobody would play for overtime
