re: Why on earth are 1/2 of quarterfinal games the times they are?

They knew none of the host countries were making it that far so who cares

After last night and now this and all the other VAR bullshite I'm about done with this World Cup. What a shame
re: US Soccer is going backwards

I have watched every World Cup since 2002 and that was the worst night for US soccer I have ever seen. I still think the program is in a better position than it has ever been so I wouldn't characterize it as "going backwards" but I understand that sentiment after that complete disaster of a game that ruined everything about a promising World Cup.

This team is fricking soft. 2014 USA fought a much better Belgium team like true Americans.

We beat up on 3 shitty teams, and it fooled everyone, myself included.
Yep, I gave up on this team after the pathetic Copa performance and the last few games brought me back in. Finally started believing because even though those teams weren’t good we still played great and we usually struggle in every game at the World Cup. Jokes on us

I really thought we had turned a corner here after the red against Bosnia and our response. Apparently that was a fluke and Bosnia is just that bad

Absolute disaster so far. This is a textbook choke

Some of the US soccer fans are the biggest bitches in sports I've ever seen. Are you this weak in general or is it just because you hate Trump so much? That red card was a total travesty and it getting overturned is 100% the right decision.

Feels like it might be England’s year. That was a very gutsy performance

It would be like a President strong arming the NCAA because his favorite player was called for an intentional foul / targeting in the 4th quarter of a semi final that was questionable at best.
It is nothing like this.

Soccer is so stupid. It's already hard enough to score. Why should that be offsides??? I want to like this game but dumb shite like that makes it tough.
The amount of awesome moments that have been ruined by this is terrible. I don’t recall it being this bad in previous world cups.

I think we can all agree now that the 2026 World Cup cannot be classified as "a disappointment" for USMNT going forward.
I am still going to be disappointed if our best team ever still doesn’t make it past the round of 16 but the Balogun screw job definitely changes the feeling some.

Yes there is but Trump doesn't have the will to do it

Mexico would go all the way to the semis if they didn’t have to leave this stadium. England is in trouble.

It's all over the next time they win again anyway regardless of this ruling. We can't survive another 4-8 year flood like what happened under Biden.
