I am actually encouraged by this interview as an LSU fan

How are so many people in this thread interpreting this interview as him staying?

This has so far done nothing to change any speculation either way.

i thought the rant was bad. the CC board while we love it brings out the football ignorant and zero common sense fans from all schools. those riddled with ADHD, aspergers, etc, it really is a sight to see.

Says the guy with Urban Meyer at LSU as his pfp
I think we know this week. It’s coming to a boiling point in Oxford. Lane has to decide soon.

We get a guaranteed melt out of this from two insane fanbases no matter what happens. I'm loving it.

Daniels - BK is not an outlier.

Both of those are outliers

Burrow and Daniels are two of the greatest QBs in the history of the sport. To expect to approach anything close to that level of QB play more than once in a generation is a pipe dream even with a lot of cash to throw at them.

A head coach in CFB is insanely important for long term program consistency. Kirby won back to back with Stetson Bennett, won the SEC with Carson Beck, and might win it again with Stockton. Look at what Elko has done in just two years after Jimbo wasted tons of A&M QB talent.
Mahomes crying for roughing the passer
There is a portion of the LSU fanbase that is fine with being Arkansas or State as long as it’s one of “our guys.” These people defended Les and O until the very end, pushed hard for Sun Belt Billy, and are now lobbying for Wilson.
We need bans for every single poster pushing Frank Wilson on this program.

Because the B1G is too watered down. It’s inevitable that their best teams will usually play shitty conference schedules.
Yep which is why they need to have more of an NFL style schedule that is dynamic based on the prior seasons results. Ohio State, Michigan, Indiana, USC, Oregon and Penn State should all be playing each other most seasons.
quote:

So what do you want them to do about it

To start they need to do something with the scheduling to make sure the top teams are all playing each other more often instead of hiding from each other to sneak more into the playoffs. Every week the SEC has banger after banger of a game and Ohio State hasn’t had a relevant game since they played an SEC team.

Also, an announcement tomorrow about anything but an extension at Ole Miss would be more shocking than Saban coming out of retirement

The only chance this is possible is if Ole Miss told him they won’t let him coach the playoffs if he is leaving

I woudn't feel any better about Riley than I did with BK TBH

Same. I know his deal is ridiculous at USC so we would be paying a ton. Riley is soft. We need to return the LSU swagger and toughness.

They said if UF doesn't announce him tomorrow it's LSU

What a nightmare this would be
quote:

He's teed up to become THE legend in Oxford by winning a single title. By contrast, he'd just be another name in the Ring of Honour at LSU or UF for winning a title.

Don’t agree with this. LSU has never had a coach win multiple natties. He has a great chance to be the LSU GOAT and a legend in BR too.
quote:

his celebrity puts Ole Miss on par with any school in the country not named Ohio State or Bama

Ole Miss isn’t close to the brand LSU or Florida are. His star power is much higher elsewhere.
It’s so bad. JDM knew he was beat in the first minute.
quote:

What makes you believe Frank would be worse than O? What has O accomplished before LSU?

I said something similar about O and while I was dead wrong for a few years, I was ultimately right by the end and LSU still hasn’t really recovered from him.

And yet Frank would be an even worse hire. At least O failed at an SEC program. Frank failed badly at bad programs.
Best women’s fight in ages is still a snoozer
