Nice
But this caught my eye
So no issue with visitors walking around on it?

quote:
prohibits all Aggies from stepping on the grass that surrounds the building.

Oh, I see, so it's open season for everyone else.
No, I just used a direct quote from the mothership feed which assumes everyone is an Aggie.

It use to be a rule, or more accurately a superstition that you could not eat Pork products on game day.
If that was still a tradition I would never be able to be a Arky fan.

When did this start? The MDB horn section stands there on gamedays and plays

As you walk under Memorial Union you are supposed to remove your hat to honor the fallen soldiers that attended Mizzou.

I think that is just a military thing. I know that when I was training at Keesler AFB, walking on the grass was a big no no. A&M identifies as a military school so... That is my theory but it doesn't make it any less stupid.

You're not supposed to pick up your garbage on North Campus at UGA
If their football players followed the rules as closely as the fans follow this one they'd never have an arrest.

On a hot sunny Saturday in BR it's always good luck for the opposing team to continually poke Mike the tiger with a stick

Can't walk on their grass or wear a hat indoors, well you can, but they get all pissy about it

Traditions on our campus?
On football gamedays, we have a tradition called hide and seek. The goal is to actually find our campus.

Not entirely accurate. If you're a student, you don't walk underneath until you've graduated. Superstition is that you won't graduate if you walk under as an undergrad. I think it's similar to the seal at Auburn.
The seal is just dont walk on it, no superstition.
We have an "arch" area for graduates, like UGA, toomers corner gates.
Also, the canon lathe, I forget the exact superstition but if it turns when you kiss your SO its supposed mean something, I forget

Ok. I must have misinterpreted my friend that was explaining it to me.

I read an article in the student newspaper yesterday that said LSU will be a smoke-free campus next fall. There will be no actually penalties thought. It said they were just gonna rely on people telling others not to smoke

Hasn't worked for the football team and they are rolling it out to the students?

quote:The original story is that the lathe will turn every time a virgin co-ed walks by it
Also, the canon lathe

They've softened it up now about "If an Auburn man kisses an Auburn woman in front of the lathe..." and then something about bad luck if it moves.
