What the else are fans supposed to do during the literal HOURS per game of dead time where no football is happening on the field? Serious question.
Jello wrestling at the 50 with hot babes from each school not wearing much..
Sounds like a good plan to me:

McClane Stadium @ Baylor
Give all the credit in the world to Baylor. The investments they have made, not just in Athletics, but across their campus are paying huge dividends.
McClane Stadium is certainly the Centerpiece. Compared to the old tarp covered Floyd Casey Stadium, there are no words.

When I was going to games at Legion Field, Denny/Bryant-Denny in the 70s and 80s, it was all about the game, the pageantry, the players. I don’t remember a lot of fluff except cheerleaders and the marching bands. We sat on bleachers with no backs. Concessions were popcorn, hotdogs, hamburgers and a Coke. Now we have to have a food court/bar with lounging areas, light shows and hip-hop cranked up between every break in the action. People today are so used to being entertained instead of just enjoying the game.
Last two games I went to were 2018 Bama-LSU in BR and Bama-LSU in 2021 in Tuscaloosa. I had crap seats in BR ($300 each I think) but good ones in the North Zone in Tuscaloosa. For $200-500 a ticket I’m not sure it’s worth the hassle anymore. I may hit a game a year or so. Guess I’m gettin old.

They've priced the average fan out. Same fans can afford to got to multiple SEC games.

How do the self serving coolers work?

Light shows have no part in college football imo. That Kiss concert tx put on the other night was a freaking joke. Y’all aren’t far behind.

I've always been impressed with AU's gameday with their shakers, fan support etc

Probably if your team has gotten a lot better, you have more fun in the stadium. Otherwise it seems like every fan, regardless of team that I talked to feels like the atmosphere has gotten worse at their stadium. Is this the general consensus?
Hell no and it ain't close. It has ALWAYS been a chore to attend college football games because it is college football...the stadiums are huge in small towns and parking is non-existent. The atmosphere made up for it back when you could tailgate and the game was played more or less from beginning to end without any major disruptions...now there is a halftime disruption between every possession change, any time someone has a wet fart, a time out is called, the quater ends...any excuse whatseoeve to stop the game for 10 minutes or so so they can sell more auto insurance and dr. Pepper. Its bad at home, it is untenable in person...and attendance figures are beginning to reflect that. Games are sold out but lots of empty seats because corporations buy the seats but no one wants to go in person. The game is in trouble. It was facing a major battle with youth soccer booming and parents afraid their kid was going to suffer brain damage if he played football. It got worse when 2-3 teams were the only teams with a shot at a title. COVID didn't help it any and now NIL, the Portal, and the total influence commercials have on the flow of the game has rendered it almost unwatchable. Seriously...how many of you are spending 11 hours a weekend watching CFB like you were just 6-8 years ago??? I can't remember the last time I watched College Gameday....I watch the UGA game and thats about it...I just can't take the commercial breaks and the breaks in game flow. The game is in trouble...

This..in Knoxville you used to be able to park a camper or rv on Volunteer BLVD. Before they crammed a building in every open space you could back in a car and tailgate. They got rid of the strip and put up apartments, parking and chain restaurants, driving out the eclectic little college bars and restaurants out.

Texas by default. shite teams, blue hairs/country clubbers & apathy until they gave it a makeover and the new AD worked on the game day atmosphere.
Don't worry Kansas will help pack Texas belongings on their way out of the game. Wait the game is in Texas! Sorry for Texas first loss of the season is coming this weekend.

The Swamp has only gotten worse:
Stadium experience - worse
Product on the field - worse
Talent in the stands - worse
Might get more comfortable for patrons once the capacity is reduced to 75k. There will be better amenities and food options too. TBD.

Mizzou lowered concession prices, some of them by as much as 66%. Almost fell off my chair when they did it, pretty unexpected:

Different traditions at different places.
No need to hate.

I’ll take A&M’s game day experience over most - def over yours, lesser.
