UT will destroy us 56-6 and we will bow in the greatness that is Bray Boy.

Well hillbillies heres a dose of reality plain & simple: whichever team RUNS for more yardage will win...and that is a stone cold fact. Now..which team do you think will run the ball over and over?

UTs one and only shot imho is to get double digit lead and then start running the ball downhill and bleed clock and force us to throw.

UF is going to be short 1 starting LBer and a cornerback who plays in the 5 man rotation....Jelani Jenkins and Cody Riggs, but we have depth galore in defensive players.

UT has explosive WRs...but can it run and how good is the defense? From watching the defense in the NC State game...defense was just ok. UT had to bring LBers a lot to create pressure...UF doesnt do much blitzing and the philosophy is we have one of the best four man DLs and they can get pressure alone.

Our OL is a strength and will pound the UT DL and keep run game downhill. Our starting RB is hurt and jury is out whether he plays. But it will be next man up. Our qb can run and his naked bootlegs can go for 20 yds +

Should be great game. This will be a game that if UF can control the line of scrimmages it will throttle UT. UTs OL is improved with James Stone, Antonio Richardson and Juwan James. Close game and if it comes to FGs...Sturgis can kick em 55 yds fairly accurately. Winner by a FG.

BTW if you want a laugh, read VolNation.

The way those damn fans see it: This is their year to return to prominence, and there is NO WAY that UF wins UNLESS Tennessee GIVES the game away.

i think so, ut has a better passing offense than a&m. patterson and hunter are far better than any wr a&m has, not to metion bray at qb. a&m scored 17 points on florida, so i could see ut scoring in the high 20s maybe even in the 30s in this game. i'm not sure about ut's defense, but it's not like uf's offense is going to score a ton of points. i think ut wins by 10+.

Wow... You would think every UF win over Tennessee in the past 7 years has been due to luck.

No. UT's shot is to score quickly, and then keep scoring quickly.

A&M scored 17 in the first half when we had no film on them, new QB, new HC, new OC. Manziel was baiting our defense, and we fell for it.

TN is another animal. I heard about the excitement about this game last year. Braysus, this, Braysus that, oh God, he is going to destroy FL. I know y'all lost Hunter, but I cannot think this game is such a sure thing for the Vols.

Long streaks scare me, because nothing lasts forever, but UT has to show me a little more than a gunslinger. We have an offense, and a good OC, we will score points- something last year was very difficult to do.

It will be another nail biter close one, but I see the toothless hillbillies crying in the end. I could be wrong, but they have to prove they are better than last year, and so far they have not. Look at the stats.

I think the GATA's will beat UT. After playing at TAMU the road game shouldn't be a big factor. I think UT's Defense is suspect. Probably helped UF that TAMU's La Tech game was hurricaned out and they had no tune-up game.

No game against Florida is a sure thing, but I like our chances.

1. UT has two receivers that can get behind any defense in the country.
2. Bust on Bray all you want, but his deep ball is an absolute thing of beauty.

People are excited about Bray because, with him, they know we can score from anywhere on the field.

Y'all can't score from anywhere on the field.

I must have imagined the points we put on the board on Saturday.
TAMU has a better defense than the Vols.
Bray is good, but he is cocky, and that leads to picks. We shall see what playing against a straight up offense will do to our defense. No gimmicks like the first two weeks.

BTW our secondary is good. Matt Elam is a beast. Yes you have great receivers and a good QB, but we have a pretty darn good defense.

No they don't.

I said y'all can't score quickly. This refers to explosiveness on offense. Which y'all don't have.

He is cocky. Name me an elite QB who is tentative and unsure of himself.

I agree with all of this. But I think a great receiver gets separation from a great cornerback.* David Amerson was an All-American.

Are they good enough? Probably more like UF is finally bad enough.

This hillbilly disagrees. Running for more yardage certainly won't hurt, but it isn't a requirement to win this game, even if it has been historically.

I'm afraid Florida isn't going to "throttle" anyone this year. Remember your coach saying that's not this team's style? Or is that an excuse for poor play? I'm just asking. I do think this game could go either way, FWIW.

:comeonmanfromESPN:

From day one, Boom said ball control and defense is how he wants to win games.

You need look no further than last Saturday to see his intentions. We only passed 16 times. The time of possession is key to look at too.

We are not going to trounce anyone this year. It's just not his desire. I don't like it but with a less than stellar offensive roster he's doing what he thinks will win. It's a good strategy based on what we have to work with presently.

Does anyone really think we have the offensive horses to put up 50 on the likes of UT, USC, UG etc.

I'm not sure why anyone would mistake us for anything other than what we are right now.

If the D plays very well we will have a shot to win most of our games.

I will say that I'm please with the differences on offense from game 1 to game 2.

The ball controll is what I was impressed with. Improvement from week 1 to week 2? No doubt. I was basically making a comment about the throttle thing. Unless Bray goes full retard and throws 5 picks, I can't see it a blow out either way.

Florida hasn't impressed me this year.

QB- Tenn
RB- UF (Dependent on injuries)
WR- Tenn
TE- Push
OL- Push

DL- Push
LB- Tenn (Maggitt and Lathers will play; Jenkins out)
CB- Push
S- UF

I think Tenn's offense wins the battle against UF's defense and I think UT's defense keeps UF's offense in check.

I haven't been excited for a UF/UT game in a long while, but I'm fired up to see this one. I think it's pretty even
