I think UF will only rush DL for the most part and will keep safeties back for help over the top. Hunter and CP will get a lot of attention on the outside and this will free up a lot of real estate in the middle for ZRo and Rivera.

I don't think Hunter and CP will get shut down, but they will not have huge games like in weeks 1 and 2. Look for Tennessee to unveil Pig Howard, run a lot more screens and draws as well.

Defensively, UT will be sending blitzes early and often. 3-4 will probably be the base package most of the game, with McCullers in to try and stop the run. Maggitt and Lathers contributing is essential for this defense to be successful. THe only thing that really worries me about Florida's O is Driskell's ability to run. UT has had a hard time with that in the pass, but hopefully Sunseri has prepared a good gameplan to contain him.

Neyland will be rocking and this should be a good game.

We may have them at LB b/c of their injuries, but they have a slight lead on us everywhere else.

The one thing we may have for the first time in a while is a legit home-field advantage.

Stay away from VolNation... all the doom and gloom fans ruined it, and now the optimistic fans are compensating for the Negavols.

Just a giant shite-storm.

I really like our starting DL and they are all completely healthy.

I know UF is deep at CB, but I haven't seen their starting CBs get many looks in games one and two. They will definitely be tested Saturday. I like UT's depth at CB as well.

Matt Elams alone gives them an edge at S.

Only one LB is injured. His replacement is a true FR. He's inexperienced of course but that's one mean fricker. If he doesn't get out of position, which he did a couple of times against aTm then he'll be OK.

What is the deal with Florida fans calling other SEC fans rednecks/hillbillies/etc.?

Are they self-conscious? Or is it because they're all from New Jersey?

Ok, I didn't know how many were out. Our depth at LB is a ??...but come to think of it, 2 of our starters are a little banged up. Healthy, I love our startnig 4, no homo...or TAMU.

they're still listing him as questionable, but he's been a full participant at practice this week.

I'd be very surprised if he wasn't 100% ready by Saturday.

I don't get it either, Gainesville is redneck central.

It's a lot like a closet homosexual being extremely hostile towards his kind.

yep, per John Brice

quote:

Few Tuesday things Herm Lathers and Curt Maggitt were full go.

Pig Howard got extensive work in the offense and looks more and more like he could help sooner rather than later.

Drummer remains the holder instead of Darr.

Bray told me he likes seeing the blitz bc it means one on one coverage against the Vols' athletes and he'll take that matchup

Actually, the City of Gainesville is not redneck at all. It's the areas surrounding it that are very countryfied.

Just trying to help.

We don't have hillbillies FWIW in case you were wondering.

I think if Florida thinks this is going to be remotely similar to last years team they are in for a surprise. The Oline is much improved. Bray is Bray, but now with multiple targets, not just Hunter and Patterson either. The offensive improvement gets the press, however the biggest difference is on defense. We have had talant there for some time, but but those horrible Wilcox schemes were not working. They were very much wait and react, that just does not work in the SEC. Sunseri has turned things around big time by letting them be aggressive, and really improving pass rush. We also have four potential ball hawks if we're not leading SEC for interceptions I will be surprised. If Florida has to pass there will be a lot of turn overs. The defensive line does look improved too but untested against an sec team, I think they can stop Floridas run. But no way to guage until the game we just havent played a team with running game in first two. Floridas offense looks like......I dunno what we normally associate with the commodores. I don't care who your a fan of this is really possibly worst offensive group Florida has fielded since per Spurrier.

My biggest question is Florida's defense and pass rush. I got nothin but respect for Florida's D, they remains strong. But they better be ready to run all day all over the field......this is going to be a gunslinger at work and with many targets. To me the game hinges on Tennessee's offensive line vs the Florida pass rush.

Edited to make up for earlier iPhone post. =P
