Coming to this conclusion because he’s currently sitting behind another former No. 1 overall recruit

Most everyone came to the same conclusion when they watched his senior film. He wasn't the #1 QB, and he didn't deserve nearly a perfect rating. He may have been 10th, at best, when he came out of high school at his position. The Manning name carried all the weight. If he was anyone else he wouldn't have been ranked so ridiculously high.

Nick Saban and Kirby Smart also pulled up to watch Arch Manning play high school basketball

From today:

quote:

"There's just so many misconceptions about Arch," "Horns247 reporter Jeff Howe said. "He's just legitimately enjoying being a normal college student. I don't hear about him. If he was going out in Austin with all of this (spotlight), you’d hear something about it. He's as much as your normal college student as he can be. They're playing it 100% cool. I'd be surprised if this (College Football 25) thing was even put in front of him."

quote:

"Manning said in December all reported valuations of NIL figures he received as a freshman were inaccurate."

The fact that this is a 5 page thread and grown men are making a huge deal about it shows exactly why he opted out. A backup has broke the internet by saying he wont participate in a video game.

Him opting out eliminates a lot of the in-season sideshow. Now there wont be sideshows about his rating, sitting Quinn in the game to start Arch or having him transfer (judging by today everyone would have made memes all season long about that stuff). So he got ahead of it to eliminate the distraction.

The fact that grown men on a site have made a 5 page thread about a kid not being in a video game makes you all look like dumbasses.

Do you know how insecure you have to be to make THIS the reason?

Look, I don't give a shite if Arch is in the game or not. I haven't owned a gaming console in over a decade. I just think it's hilarious that they're trying to push this "focus on football" nonsense.

Since you know Eli, why would he opt out then?

I don’t care if he opts out or in.

The video game has absolutely zero impact on what he does as a player. Most are laughing by the statement by Anwar on why he’s opting out.

No clue what his real reasons are for opting out but the reason this is being released now bc it would have been an even worse shite show by your fan base if they found out he was not in the game when it came out.

I'll tell you my personal opinion on the Mannings. And it's just that, an opinion, because I don't know them. Archie Manning was the second overall pick in the 1971 NFL Draft and played for the New Orleans Saints for ten full seasons. During his tenure in New Orleans, the Saints had nine losing seasons. They only managed to get to .500 once in 1979, which was also the only season they finished higher than third in their division.

I think Archie vowed after his experience in New Orleans that he wasn't going to let his sons endure that type of failure. He let Peyton go to UT because it was the best situation at the time. He told Eli to tell the Chargers to frick off when they drafted him because they were a shite organization at the time. The family let Arch go to Texas because they felt it was the best situation for him. And frankly, none of them give a country shite about a video game.

As long as I can modify my players, who cares what current college players (who will be gone in 1-2 years) are in the game?

Just put the game out and I'll take care of the rest.

Arch is probably still getting NIL funds placed into an account that he later will access once he becomes the starter. I don't believe for a minute he is rejecting NIL funds completely no matter what is being said.
Believe whatever you like, but the only NIL deal he's done was for charity. He's not doing interviews on Texas podcasts/radio or shilling for any local business or national brand at the moment. If he's getting NIL money (which he doesn't need, dad is doing quite well) then it's really easy money.

I’m having a tough time seeing the correlation between taking distractions away from the team and him being “insecure”.

For the record I don’t think this. This is what YOU posted.

If Arch opted out because he didn’t want to have to see people lower his e-ratings or put him in the transfer portal or any of the other shite you posted, it would mean his insecurity level is off the charts.

Y’all have no clue how much importance that entire family puts on their name. Especially Archie. There was never going to be a frozen glass of waters chance in hell they would ever put their name anywhere for $600. It’s not surprising. Their “focus on football” reason is just bullshite. Now, every time the game is mentioned, and it will be all over the place during the season, it will be brought up that he opted out. And THAT ladies and gentlemen, is how the Mannings make sure Arch stay relevant while Ewers chases a Heisman and championship.

That wasn’t what I said at all. I was referring to people like you and the other that made this thread 6 pages long, that would break social media posting about it all season long.

Considering this has contradicted everything that has been public information about Arch and NIL as well as what the Mannings have said, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say you don’t know what you’re talking about.

The sooner you realize Arch isn’t the one making these calls the clearer this will become.
