If we have seen anything from the Manning family. They know how to make money. They are making money off Arch by some means don’t care what they state in public. It’s all semantics, just like them stating he’s opting out of a video game so he can focus on football. Alrighty

It's stating that he's opting out to focus on football that makes him sound like a dumbass. The only thing involved here is a signature. EA does the rest.

More likely Arch's family isn't willing to sign anything for $600. What they're failing to see though is that this game is NOT for them. No one is doing it for the pay. This game has ALWAYS been about the fans and in that regard, Arch comes across as tone deaf.

The fact that this is a 5 page thread and grown men are making a huge deal about it shows exactly why he opted out. A backup has broke the internet by saying he wont participate in a video game.

Him opting out eliminates a lot of the in-season sideshow. Now there wont be sideshows about his rating, sitting Quinn in the game to start Arch or having him transfer (judging by today everyone would have made memes all season long about that stuff). So he got ahead of it to eliminate the distraction.

The fact that grown men on a site have made a 5 page thread about a kid not being in a video game makes you all look like dumbasses.

And you come off as entitled. If you have such a hard on to play as arch in this game, then just do like everyone has always done with past NCAA games and wait for the community to build modded rosters. Boom now you can play as arch as much as your heart desires.

Tell you what I've said a thousand times about this game... I don't give a rat's arse if a player's name, image, or likeness are in it. I DO give a rat's arse if the stadiums, colors, mascots, and school traditions are right.

But yet here you are, in absolute meltdown because a player chose to not have his name, image, or likeness in it.

I doubt they care if any Ole Miss players opt out or not.

Does anyone even know the names of the players?

Thinking someone is a dumbass for a statement that they made isn't a meltdown.

He's third string and doesn't want to see his name down the depth chart. He's one of the most overrated high school players of all-time.

He isn’t opting in because he’s sore over the 71 overall rating he got on the game.

He thought the name on the jersey would get him at least an 85.

Coming to this conclusion because he’s currently sitting behind another former No. 1 overall recruit and refused to be in a video game is classic SEC Rant

I basically have no idea what any of that means, and I'm glad.

it has been reported that he isn’t accepting any NIL money until he is the starter.. I think this is what that is..

That sounds like BS. But I actually don’t have a problem with his decision here. They were only offering like $600. His name alone is probably getting that much for 1 autograph.

Kind of an odd thing to say about a top 10 team coming off an 11-win season. But ok.

“Where was this reported?“

From his coach

“Everybody is under this assumption that this was an NIL deal for him to come to the University of Texas. It was absolutely not,” Sarkisian said, mvia TheAthleti.com. “He’s taken zero money from an NIL perspective.”

“The beauty of it for us, his NIL value — whatever it is — his grandpa won’t let him take any NIL money,” Sarkisian said. “He said, ‘You can take money when you become a player and you start.’”
