Apparently LSU boosters were too proud to hire Napier

That LSU attitude towards UL kept them from hiring Napier. They thought it was “beneath them” to get a Coach from Lafayette.
FYI, I played there for a year, when it was USL. We stank and I couldn’t get on the field. I was too small and I tried to make up for it by being too slow. Shredded my knee and got slower…
I know how LSU feels about UL, especially since they changed the Name.

Because Woodward went out and offered $13 million per year to a coach without checking with the guys who are going to pay that salary first....

Apparently you don’t know the Golden Rule of buyouts, coaching hires etc.
Woodward only can spend the money allotted by boosters. It comes with strings attached.

Napier is a great coach. A risk no doubt, but we should have at least interviewed the guy. He is killing it at ULL.

Literally that who pays 80% of coaches salaries dumbass...trust me they definitely have influence in who is hired.

Anyone posting about our coaching search literally knows nothing. Anything being posted are complete assumptions. You have no clue if our booster supported this or not. It’s up to Woodward.
