Anyone think we see both LSU and Bama in the top 4 today?

Committee said they aren't looking at polls and just saying who they think are the best 4. It wouldn't shock me to see bama in the top 4 and lsu not and then see the rant go into complete meltdown mode.

don't see it happening

lsu will be in. bama will be 6 or 7. if bama wins this weekend they will jump up to 4.

Eta: I stand corrected

Well frick, I would go into complete meltdown mode too if that were the case. No way can they put a one-loss Bama above an undefeated LSU, polls or not. That would be idiotic. After the game this weekend, if LSU loses, then yes there would be a much bigger argument to be made that they're the better team. Until then, LSU should be ranked higher.

My guess for what the committee will do - They really look at big wins and teams like Baylor and Ohio State don't have many right now.

1. LSU
2. Michigan State
3. Clemson
4. Florida
5. Ohio State
6. Alabama
7. TCU
8. Baylor
9. Oklahoma
10. Stanford

Either way, if we make the playoffs, we will have a rematch with either Bama or Florida. Get ready boys, it's gonna be a hell of a post-season!

I think Bama would be ranked higher with a win this weekend. Probably #1. Has that feel.

it wouldnt bother me at all. whoever wins this weekend will be in the top 4 next week so it really doesn't matter.

I know this isn't going to happen, but could you imagine the media MELT if it were:

1) LSU
2) Fla
3) Bama
4) Memphis

I think UF will actually be ahead of Bama. The committee showed me last year they actually paid attention to the results on the field.

No. Who has bama defeated?

Unranked Georgia?
Unranked Tennessee?
Unranked Wisconsin?

Oh look they beat #25 Texas A&M.

Yet they lost to 2-loss, #19 Ole Miss.

What about that resume screams Top 4? Or even Top 10 at this point.

No. I think Bama will be right around #6. And that's fine because if they win out, the rest will take care of itself (most likely).

No. Bama may be like 8th or 9th. Committee may have Florida higher than Bama.

Today isn't all that important as long as Bama wins Saturday they'll be in prime position to be in a playoff spot should they win out. OSU/MSU one will lose and drop. TCU/Baylor - one will lose and drop. Bama/LSU - one will lose and drop.

Today is nice and all, but really doesn't matter b/c of how much football is left to play among top 10 teams.

I think if Bama wins out, a 1-loss SECC could easily get passed over this year. Too many undefeateds hanging around.

Very unlikely.
