We threw a fricking rager that lasted all night when Julio signed when I was a freshman. Watching the Bama fax cam with that chick, you cheered every time you saw her arse.

Everyone was drinking and ecstatic cause those players were locked in.

Now what’s stopping them from ripping up their signature the next day? It literally means nothing

Indeed. And then she turned around and killed the vibe.

Yep.

College Football has gone off the rails and it's because of the almighty dollar that this has happened. People used to take off work for Signing Day during that first Wednesday in February. It was a day that generated a lot of buzz a month out from the start of spring training. Now it's seen as an after thought.

I'm old enough to remember the pre-internet days when you would patiently watch the mailbox for the postman to deliver that week's Max Emfinger "Superpreps" newsletter to find out who was going where.

The greatest pool player in the history of the world turned fortune teller, Willie Mosconi, predicted that this was another year that Bama wins it all.

You need to read up on Mosconi.

It used to be all day programming on the ESPN networks. Now, it barely gets a mention on the 8th Sportscenter of the day.

I miss the drama involved. There was some 5 star player in south GA who signed with UGA over UF years ago but he was only 17. His legal guardian was pissed and took the LOA and disappeared for a few days.

I remember it as a holiday. I literally followed every minute. Now… it’s just not the same.

My brother and I would take off work and cook a big breakfast, slam some bloodys and geek out on signing day. That shite was fun.
