Kanell is a bit over the top, and probably a little more than usual for some clicks, but he's not completely wrong about the committee.

Interesting Kanell is so anti-SEC since he's been working for the CBS SEC game online show this season.

As an Auburn fan I am not mad at all. AU might still could have gotten in by going 1-1 against UGA if AU had handled business against LSU, but that didn't happen. With 3 losses AU does not deserve to be in the playoff. I think the committee got it right with Bama getting in.

If anyone would have told me at the beginning of the season that AU would go 2-2 against 3 of the teams in the playoff I would have laughed. I just hope Gus remembers how he coached the last half of this season and doesn't fall back into being old Gus next year and AU will be fine.

Have you ever wondered if ESPN hired Kanell to keep the debate lively by playing devil's advocate?

"Thanks for your pro-SEC bias, Booger. Now let's hear from former Florida State quarterback and unapologetic SEC hater Danny Kanell."

Kanell's shtick was either sincerely childish or transparently disingenuous. Either way, it must have paid well since he's still at it.

Kannell is only upset that he missed out on a great opportunity to troll Bama fans. That is his second favorite pastime. His first is shopping for mock turtleneck sweaters.

I feel sorry for Danny. A team he hates more than testicular cancer is in the Playoffs again just when he thought there was hope. Add to that his team went 6-6 and lost their Coach, plus he lost his livelyhood. This would, I think, be enough even to make a dude who isn't a complete douchebag phaggot piece of shite loose his mind. And Danny is a complete douchebag phaggot piece of shite, not a recipe for success, poor feller.

The committee is a joke and deserves ridicule.
That'd make the computer ranking, Coaches poll, AP poll, and just about every other nat'l poll a joke, too because they ALL have it EXACTLY the same.

He lost it when he got fired by ESPN. Trying to stay relevant now. I like him even less than before.

I am constantly amazed at the implication that the committee has been compromised. These people were selected, vetted, purely on football knowledge and integrity. I guess the assumption is they are being paid by ESPN to push the games in a direction that is beneficial to Espn. I think the ultimate goal is to discredit the process so haters of college football can make a joke of it. I wonder why they don't name the committee members who are getting paid.

Where were you last year when Ohio State got in over their own conference's champ who beat Ohio State head to head?

If you commit an egregious act, then say you are healed and have integrity again, how can you be surprised when nobody believes you, or gives a rat's arse about your new edict?

And for the record, tOSU lost two games and should not have been in the conversation.
