Not a flame...I grew up in Gadsden as well.
Oh...and...played against Martin Houston (Bama FB 1992 championship team).

i grew up with charles rhodes..former basketball center for miss state. i beat him one on one in the 8th grade but that was before his growth spurt...also threw a bunch of tds to him in middle school

Graduated with Darian Stewart. He wasn't really a star, but he's a pretty damn good player. Plays for the Rams now.

I played with Harris Rabun starting lb and captian for AU in the Barfield days and Boo Flowers MVP of the national championship game in what ever division Florence played in back then. Oh and Bobby Johnson was a freshman my senior year. He's now known as Nico's uncle, but back in the day he was the best hs runningback in Alabama.

I played against, Marquis Maze, Earl Bennett, Nakita Stover, Mario Wright, Rashaud Slaughter, Ryan Shoemaker,Joey Bailey, Jabo Burrow, Brandon Lewis and thats all that I can think of off the top of my head

one of my best friends played against Brodie croyle at the ranch in gadsden lots...not that Brodie is a superstar, but he has had a good little career.
