I am still not sold on LSUs defense in general. The DBs are good, but the d line has a lot to prove as do linebackers outside of White.

LSU's got to rush and hurry Tua to have a puncher's chance.

tua routinely beats good coverage, with great anticipation and ball placement. Great route running and qb accuracy/anticipation just beats great coverage more often than not. LSUs secondary has to come up with multiple picks, and probably multiple defensive scores to win this game, which means they are going to have to take lots of chances trying to guess so they can jump routes.

It goes without saying that Tua is the best QB we've faced. I'm simply saying Aranda was able to mix looks and confuse Fromm. For the season Fromm was completing 71.5% of his passes. Vs LSU he completed 47.1%. He had 2 INTs for the season and 2 Vs LSU.

Bama still has the advantage. I just think with LSU getting a little healthier and the extra 2 weeks for Aranda to scheme we may be able to close the gap. This is especially important for us with regards to OL health. We've been beat up all season but finally getting guys back and some continuity.

So you're going to give Tua all day to throw?

That's a bold strategy there Cotton.

That's suicide.

I hope for Tua's sake, if he runs he slides.

People are either going to ant to blow him up high to send a message or go low to avoid the penalty.

Either way, he risks injury. And that's crap. He's a great kid and has avoided the bad apple behavior some of the others around him have.

I want both teams to have a good clean game.

And for Cole to drill one through the uprights at 58 yards for a walk off win.

So is rushing 3 and dropping 8. I’d rather go down fighting and blitzing and praying our athleticism can force a mistake, then watch him sit in a pocket and pick apart 8 DB’s.

It worked against UGA.

They got almost a 1/3 of their INT's for the year vs Fitzgerald.

Tua will throw for over 200 in the first half.

I think LSU just needs to limit the big plays to have a shot.

As long as Gumps can have a "real" conversation about the quality of opponents before reading off stats.

Agreed.

And I'm fine with that, if it costs him two INTs.

LSU is going to have to do something about its pass rush

Queens going to be important. He's come through unblocked a lot this year when he's seen time but comes in so wild that he misses the sack.

Can't miss again Tua. If he's on target he definitely has the athleticism to get after him and makes some plays.

That really affects the secondary the most.

Pressure. Pressure. Pressure

I do think it will be a little more difficult for the passing game this game. But, I also remember great Bama defenses going up against passing attacks with good QB's and WR's. It's impossible to cover them for long. If LSU can't get a pass rush without blitzing, Tua is going to put up big numbers again. Good DB's can only do so much.

Not only will LSU need to have an effective pass rush, but they also will need to contain. I have nightmares of Tua escaping the pocket and making big plays with his feet and his arm.

Won't be any INT's, just TD's.

The LSU secondary is so great that PP7 wouldn't even make 3rd string.

Bama receivers will not catch a ball and Tua will throw at least 5 Interceptions.
