I watched Sammy smoke Aggie for a 60 yard TD in Baton Rouge

Believe it was the season opener in '86, Arnsparger's last year

Guidry threw him a check down and the boy was GONE

Ran like a gazelle on the field and looked 35-ish without his helmet.

IIRC, ol’ Sammy was damn near bald headed at 20 years old….sometimes the gods are just unkind for no good reason at all.

Ole Sammy was a contemporary of mine at LSU. Fastest White Boy Alive is how we referred to him.

One of my friend got accidentally run over by Sammy as Sammy was riding his bike through campus. Sammy was very apologetic. I told my friend to watch where the hell he's walking. Sammy is a national treasure.

No.

Sounds like any other forgettable player from LSU in a long long list of forgettable players.

A LOT more SHIZZ that it is currently!

Mediocre football, combined with pre-recorded Devil-Demon music has greatly deboered it. (Declined)

Bookend "lols"... Are you, like, 12?

Btw, you're thinking of the 90s. LSU won 2 SEC titles in the 80s.

I was sitting in the north end zone. As soon as he caught the pass, I knew he was gone. Nobody was going to catch him.

I saw Sammy run through like 20 rebels one year in Jackson. He ran through some of them twice. Loved Sammy back in the day!
