But to your question, Pete has more experience than Arnett did and doesn’t appear to want to change the offense like Arnett did (which was stupid).

Chambliss and Lacey are top tier - my comments arent meant to downplay their impact.
But I don't think a lot of people are really grasping what Ole Miss has lost.
- their best DL that lead the team in sacks.
- their best LB who lead the team in tackles
- another starting DE in Womack who's off to Auburn
- 2 CBs that played in every game
- their starting TE
- 4 of their top 5 WRs
- 2 starters on the OL
- 2 backups on the OL including one that Weiss said was "the best freshman OL ive seen"
And of course that doesnt include losing their HC, OC, RB coach, QB coach, PGC & WR coach, Inside WR coach, and TE coach.

State won the SEC Western Divison in 1998. Either way, Ole Miss didn't even do that in 32 years of SEC having divisions. Mississippi State was the best team in the country in 1940-1941 and could have won the national championship. However, we actually had men that joined or was drafted in the military to enter World War 2. Ole Miss players would try to tuck their penis in their stomach and claim Gender dysphoria to avoid WW2

Frankly that might the worst post I’ve ever read on this board, Our boys went overseas and laid it down just like everyone else did in those days, and those that survived returned home in 1947 and won the SEC.

Golding was at least smart enough to keep the same offensive system in place. Arnett fired the entire offensive staff immediately, which was stupid.

Pete was handed a significantly more talented team than Arnett. That's the biggest difference. And it's a team he recruited to his needs. Also Pete coached under and reported to Saban for years. That has to mean something. Arnett inherited a team loaded with WRs and decided he was going to try and play power football with them. Sometimes I think he wanted to get fired and get his buyout and then get back to coaching defense.

Pete has a ton more experience and success in the SEC than Arnett did when he was hired. He also is setup to be pretty good year 1, and seems much more capable in modern college recruiting than Arnett was.
