2,763 points in an era without the 3 point shot
1,525 rebounds
23.2 career average in an era of fewer games per season
30 game home court win streak over 3 years
Consensus All American
Still the all time leading scorer and rebounder at their school decades after their departure
Graduated with honors in animal science
Had a successful pro career on several championship teams
The only thing missing from the resume is a NCAA banner where their team made a deep run.

Old Timer here. At LSU with Pistol Pete Maravich.
Pete
Shaq
Chris Jackson
Ky - Dan the man Issel, played in the Pistol era. Man, those two could ball. One game Pete scored 60+, Issel 50+. Ky won of course.

I didn't read carefully, but scanned the entire thread. I was shocked that no Auburn folks mentioned Sir Charles.
Hell, I'm an LSU fan and he was one of my favorites.

I'm too young to remember him at Auburn.

Ben vogde or whatever

The easy answer for all LSU fans is Shaq, but in recent history I'd have to go with Stromile Swift, Brandon Bass, Tyrus Thomas or Marcus Thornton
