Lots and lots of vehicle accidents and the like. Flight training was especially bad. If you were a pilot and made it through the training without killing yourself, you must have been pretty good.

Great Grandfather was a flight instructor during WWII. He died when the pilot he was training crashed their plane. Trainee walked away with no injuries. It was pretty surreal finding his death certificate on Ancestry.com. Great Grandmother is still alive and coherent but was born deaf. I never learned sign language so getting stories out of her is insanely difficult. Something Ive only recently began to regret not learning.

My high school buddies and I always play Risk Legacy when everyone comes back for the holidays.

It's risk with additional features that allow for more strategy. More of a futuristic setting as well.
 Your son play mostly Team Deathmatch?? If that is the case, I can see why you have that opinion.

If you do ever play it, Id recommend Conquest (personal favorite) or Operations. Its more objective based and requires maneuvering with your squad to achieve success. Just running around and killing dudes does nothing.

Come on, man. I get that portable machine guns are fun, but a WWI game should have waaaaay more single-shot bolt action rifles than fully automatic weapons for infantry. At least regulate the number of them per side.

If you have a problem with this, I can kiiinda understand. They have to walk a line between being historically accurate and having a fun game that people will buy and play for a long time.

There's not much difference between this "WWI game" and any other Battlefield iteration, as a result. It's just run around, spray bullets, and get sprayed. Die in 30 seconds. Respawn, repeat.

I just don't get how that is fun. This is exactly why most multiplayer games are bullshite. There's no real consequence to anything. Which leads to no strategy. Which leads to mindless chaos. I really think Battlefield missed an opportunity here to create something different, as opposed to something that just looks different.

But this is just not true at all. Knowing that you havent even played the game really just makes all of this a pretty ignorant statement.

That being said, I find the medic rifles to be a bit difficult to get used to. Requiring 4 shots out of a 10 round magazine to kill someone leaves absolutely no possibility of running into a room and clearing out 2+ guys.

I used medic for awhile when the game came out. Got it to lvl 10 then switched to assault. You should never run into a building by yourself as a medic to avoid that exact scenario. Important to stick with the squad in a general area and then I would pair up with an assault guy to run around with.
Maybe not just you but you are definitely in the minority with that opinion.

I play mostly Conquest.

Strictly in your opinion, if we do decide to part from Sumlin, would it take place before or after the bowl game?

re: A&M will be fine with Sumlin

Was always Bud Foster fan when we were looking for a DC. Wasn't upset at getting Chavis though.

From what I heard/remember, Foster wanted to come to A&M and looking back, we were just a nice landing spot for Chavis looking to get out of a bad situation as LSU. Hindsight...

Everyone still having problems quitting? I'm on PC. It's often easier to alt F4 than wait on the quit button

Yeah, on Xbox. Tested it with a friend. I quit actual BF1 while he just quit the conquest game and got back to the main menu before he did.

havent had any issues like that with operations but conquest is getting ridiculous for me. like 2-3 minutes

Same here.
Have a theory though. Same buddy as above has it downloaded to his Xbox elite and doesn't have the load time issue. So I think its either not using a disc, having the elite, or a combo. Anybody have the game downloaded to the console and having load time issues?

This gun needs to be adjusted. The range I get killed with this gun is ridiculous.

do we pull the RS off of Starkel

Just read on SDS that Sumlin had the convo with Starkel and his family and they are fine to burn the redshirt but Sumlin hasn't made that decision yet.

Sorry no link.
Ive been able to get on all week (xbox). Granted the End of Round stats never came up and I couldn't track any badges.. That cleared up last night though.
