SF - Parsons
good choice too. Also David Lee made a nice career for himself in the NBA.

Other options- CJ Watson, Ernie Grunfield, Tony White.

Ernie was an absolute beast in college.

Jeff Malone was not a 3 point shooter. Shot 27% from 3 point in the NBA. Barely shot any three's in the NBA. Learn history.

I would have Scottie Wilbekin instead of Williams. Williams never did anything in college and this is supposed to be by school, not career.

Umm I was at State when he was there. The original three point line was at 19.75 feet. So yes at State he would have easily averaged 2-3-4 more points per game. We are not talking about the NBA here.

I agree he was not a long range shooter i. e. Curry but was a great midrange shooter who would have greatly benefited from the original three point line.

I’m not going by positions here. Just naming my top 5 based on talent and popularity at Oklahoma:

Wayman Tisdale
Mookie Blaylock
Hollis Price
Blake Griffin
Buddy Hield

Meh, just make a roster of 13 "scholarship" guys.

LSU's might look like:

C Shaq
PF Bob Pettit
PF Glen Davis
PF Brandon Bass
SF Rudy Macklin
SF Ben Simmons
SF Tasmin Mitchell
SG Marcus Thornton
SG Antonio Blakeney
CG Pete Maravich
CG Chris Jackson
CG Darrel Mitchell
PG Tremont Waters

Was tough decision between Darrel Mitchell and Collis/Garrett Temple, G. Temple had no offense but was arguably the best defensive player overall I can personally remember at LSU. D.Mitch could do it all by his senior season though. Dish it out some, hit 3's, clutch play.

Also I just stuck Simmons position wise somewhere, he's probably a PG more than anything but size wise way closer to SF although he was not a shooter (at all).

I was at State back then too. Saw him play for four years. He rarely shot beyond 16-18 feet out. Geez.

BJ McKie has to be on that list.

You can’t put him above any of those (and he’s a PG)
John Roche was a 2 time all American and back to back ACC POTY

Unless you put him at the 2 and move Winters out.
Then afain I guess I’m looking post college too and shouldn’t as Winters had a good NBA career while BJ didn’t have one at all

Of course, so many great ones for the Cats.

Maybe just behind the first five are Pat Riley, Kyle Macy and Antonio on the SEC Network.

We can agree to disagree then. I still maintain his average points per game would have been 2-3-4 points higher had the original three point line been in effect during those years (1979-1983).

I think any list from Alabama should include Reggie "Mule" King, Ennis Whatley and James "Hollywood" Robinson.

We really havent had a ton of high end elite SGs and I needed to add another shooting guard in there.

Blakeney basically had to carry a (BAD) whole team on his back his sophomore year so he will always be overlooked.

Some others I considered were Antonio Hudson, Collis Temple, Torris Bright, Maurice Carter, Ronnie Henderson...

Ronnie was a huge scorer, but Blakney was a little better overall IMO. Ronnie wasn't much a shooter really.

Alright I quit this sight for good. Too many LSU circle jerks going on. What a trash can school.

Thunderbird-I would have Derrick Taylor ahead of Darrel Mitchell. Also for PF, I definitely would include Dewayne Scales over Big Baby or Brandon Bass. Scales was an absolute Monster. And just for versatility, I would have John Williams over Tasmin.
