These teams were probably much closer to 1-6, and maybe even ahead of USC at some point, until the past decade(s)

Ohio State

Is a pale shadow of Alabama football

Alabama has more wins, more titles, more bowl appearances and wins, etc......

Actually it’s based on final poll performance for each year. However, Auburn is also #13 in weekly appearances.

Also 13th in all-time wins.

The Irish were out front at #1 by a mile through the early ‘90s but have been sliding ever since.

They would be down the list even more if they were not propped up by the media.

Definitely helps but getting to power 6 bowls, two sugars and a several Cotton Bowls haven’t hurt. Also remember when you were #1 and we were #4 in the initial playoff rankings before you started the crabs in a bucket exercise you guys always do brought us both down? It’s that same mentality you have now with that post.

and that's how the fight started...

Our programs are like mirror images of one another and one is marginally better than the other here and there, yet both sides want to go out of their way to show how they're still the better team. Nobody wants to admit to being twins.

Exactly. Since 1970, they've finished ranked 11 times, and State has finished ranked 13 times.

This has to be one of the last remaining metrics that has Tennessee above Georgia.

So weird that there's a cluster of 4 teams from the SEC all lined up like that.

Auburn is better than Arkansad. Always has been, always will be.

Deal with it, or go cry somewhere else
