Give me a good football team and I'm happy. Everything else is just icing on the cake after that.
And let's not act like anyone really gives a shite about any sport but Football, Basketball, and Baseball. Which Bama hasn't really been worth a damn in any of those besides Football lately either.

Nobody gives a shite about baseball. Hell even ESPN doesn't think enough of it to put scores on the front page.

Unfortunately, family was spread out this holiday weekend. I have no Auburn fans in my family. Lots of close friends that are Auburn fans but no Auburn family members.
As for my OP, the sheer number of threads by Auburn fans about Alabama football made me wonder why theyou have such an obsession with Alabama football and Auburn football and nothing else. My careful contemplation of this question made me look at what Auburn sports has going on outside of football which led to my question.

Alabama has a much better basketball history than Auburn and the baseball makes the NCAA field every year with very few exceptions unlike Auburn. Heck, Auburn baseball can't even make the SEC tourney most years much less the NCAA tournament.

Not true. Winning or losing in football has nothing to do with it. I despise the "football is all that matters" attitude that is so prevalent among fellow Bama fans so I've always hated that attitude.

I specifically stated that Auburn used to be good at baseball so I don't know how mentioning players from 20 and 30 years ago is relevant!!

Football matters. It is the goose laying golden eggs. Success in any other sport, except maybe men's basketball, is just gravy.
SECCG tickets for FB routinely get 400 bucks on stubhub. How much does a non-KY SEC tournament BB game get? How much for women's gymnastics? Baseball?

Alabama had never won a national championship in any sport outside of football and women's gymnastics up until two or three years ago. I guess since they have now won national championships in sports like golf and women's softball some of their fans think they are an athletic powerhouse
