Same guy who gave Les a contract extension a few months prior.

Joe Alleva knew how to stumble into the correct decision every once in a while but the dude was overall inept as an AD.

Sounds like he was trying to do his job and protect the university from this exact situation.

It was Les Miles, the then head football coach, who reportedly did these things and was allowed to continue doing them by LSU, correct?

He thought he'd handled the problem by giving Miles very specific instructions only to find out later that Miles ignored them completely.
That's why he made the recommendation to fire with cause, which would have made the new contract meaningless.

They're scapegoating Miles. Yes, what he did was bad, but they're putting everything on him and hope all of it goes away. Much like they are trying to separate the basketball and football NCAA investigations to avoid Lack of Institutional Control.
What we saw was just a small part of a larger problem. And yes, it involves Orgeron.
Today didn't matter. It was just LSU sleight of hand so people don't pay attention to what's really happening, "Oh yes! We agree Les Miles is a creep." Doesn't speak to the systemic problems.
The real report will come out once the Department of Education is done with the Clery Act investigation, the FBI is done with their probe and the NCAA is done with its investigation of the entire athletic dept.

The report mentions Orgeron once. Miriam Seager told Orgeron to tell former football player Drake Davis to "get away from that girl." However, he was never told that Davis abused her. Davis was promptly dismissed from the team once more information came out. No current football staff are involved.
BOOM case closed!

Based on what?
Oh yeah, your opinion

So Les Miles was basically a POS, and LSU covered it up.
Hey LSU, at least you're not Penn State. You've got that going for you at least.

Not bad, but Les would have trouble keeping up on the Rant.

Orgeron brought up the alleged assault to the player about a year after it happened.
"Everybody's girlfriend sleeps with other people," Orgeron was quoted as saying
This part is opinion.
There is no indication that Orgeron even knew there was an assault, even the player admits he wasn't sure if Orgeron actually knew or not.

A common misconception that people make on here about this incident no matter how many times we explain it. Either that or it's willful ignorance.

It is his job to know if his players are sexually assaulting people.

No it’s not.
And Penn State Showed it’s a bad idea to make that your HCs job because they all will want to try and fix it themselves.

Let's just say that it is true. That still doesn't mean that he brought up the alleged assault to the player when the player himself said he didn't know if Orgeron knew or not which is what I responded to.
