No it’s not.
Of course a Gump wouldn’t admit but nobody cares what you say or think. You’ll always be insecure about a school that has 28 more national championships that your school. COMICAL

Facts are stubborn things are they not. Jimbo Fisher turned LSU down. Jimbo. There are a few schools in the country that can call any coach and at least get a serious offer across. Any coach will listen just based on the names of these schools. Doesn’t mean they will leave but they at least think about it. Bama, Ohio St, Michigan, ND, Texas, just to name a few. These schools have history and tradition that is respected in the sport. Their names carry weight with any coach. They also have all the facilities and fan support they could ever want. When these schools call the coaches listen and think about the offer seriously even if they decline the offer. LSU ain’t in this class.
LSU wants to walk in the rarified air with those schools but they ain’t even close. LSU doesn’t carry the name recognition as some off the schools I just named. The problem is you guys think you walk with these giants but they do not. LSU has to build its rep and that takes decades. LSU has been relevant for 5 mins in college football. You guys got a long way to go to build the type of reputation as the schools I just named and even a few I didn’t.

Why are LSU fans the way that they are? Arkansas has like eleventy billion track championships but you don't see them going around claiming to be "kings of the SEC" because of it.

Your last three coaches are:
Brian Kelly
Ed Orgeron
Les Miles
Does that sound like an “anyone we want” list?
why is that bad? Les Miles won a Natty and played for another
Ed Orgeron had one of the best teams in college football history

This is like your friend in middle school telling you he could date super models when his last three girlfriends were all 250+ with bad hygiene. Theres no point arguing with them.

Clearly you are a top 10-15 job. Your last eight coaches.
Bill Arnsparger: 26-8-2 (76.5%)
Mike Archer: 27-18-1 (60.0%)
Curley Hallman: 16-28 (36.4%)
Jerry Dinardo: 32-24-1 (57.1%)
Nick Saban: 48-16 (75.0%)
Les Miles: 77-34 (69.4%)
Ed Orgeron: 47-19 (71.2%)
Brian Kelly: 34-14 (70.8%)
There are some very good coaches on that list. Not one managed to win 80% of their games at LSU. And LSU is looking for a coach that averages 83% (10-2).
We know how this next coaching hire is going to turn out.

If LSU is a top 3 job, then the first two are also SEC jobs.
