There were 50k Vol fans on that field and they have a questionable incident with one Bama player. Good grief, let the fans on the field in games like that. There were people in that stadium that had never seen the Vols beat Bama in person. Let them celebrate.

I was there in 98 when the Vols beat UF. I was a bit devastated as a UF fan, but seeing those Vol fans so happy, tearing down goalposts, marching through the stadium, through town - they were beyond happy. I wouldn't dare interfere with that.

I was in the Swamp in 97 when UF had a couple tough losses but beat #1 FSU - it was the best game and best atmosphere I've ever been a part of - and that's how it felt for those Vol fans. It's ridiculous that people want to take this away from the fans.

The fan is the center of gravity in CFB. God knows Vol fans supported that program through some tough years. Let them celebrate a big win and be happy about the return on their program.

Bama - stop crying. You are becoming the Karen of CFB.

Truth

Hey Mike, a couple of years ago we were playing Kentucky at home and were fixin to win. Cal calls a timeout and sends his players who weren’t playing to the locker room. When the game was over no Arkansas fan stormed the court because it was just another game now under cal. No big deal anymore.

Greg should be glad a win over his team means something.

Only at Alabama can a player hit a girl and the AD gripe to the SEC that it was the girl’s fault.

Well Greg, the easiest way to stop field storming is to not lose road games.

Something has to be done. If I were a school where the field didn't get rushed I probably wouldn't worry about it either.

I'm just glad I support a school where rushing the field is a mortal sin.

I've always said, and Byrne alludes to it here. If you want to rush the field, fine. Let the other team get to the locker room first then have at it. If security is having to knock out fans for wanting fight the coach (LSU) or finding weapons on fans (Tenn) then things have gone too far.

Let the other team get to the locker room and then you can have all the fun you want.

This coming from an AD that presides over teams that are either involved in a murder or embroiled in a gambling scandal. Rich.

I’m not a coach and I’m probably not that important to the Crimson Tide, but the way you keep your opponents from storming the field is win the fricking game. As a Bama fan, I hope that I never see the day where beating Alabama is just a common occurrence. Saban has armed State Troopers with him so he should just shut up.
