He will be fine by LSU. But if they go ahead and lose to LSU, then they will have the much easier path to the CFB Playoff by avoiding Georgia in the SEC Title Game and being a 11-1 team selected for the playoff just like in 2017. The committee will not penalize Alabama for losing to LSU because their best player was absent.

This will setup a #1 LSU vs #4 Alabama in the CFB Playoff in which Alabama will win the rematch and cause this board new levels of melt. That is if Alabama isn't selected over LSU before then if LSU drops the SEC Title Game. We all know Alabama would be much more favorable to the committee because their best player was "injured" and thus they would be considered the better team with Tua.

So thus Alabama will be selected to the playoff no matter what happens vs LSU. LSU needs this game much more because as we have seen, the committee will only do this for Alabama, not LSU.

Good gracious.

When it comes to Bama, there is no shortage of conspiracy theories.

will hold him out? You say that like he could play this weekend. There's no guarantee he'll even be able to play by LSU.

so then I actually read your post and it's just more silly stuff. I will admit, though, that if any team gets a mulligan it would be Alabama, if Tua can't play and loses a game, then comes back later.

Tua will not play against LSU.

How far will LSU drop when Mac Jones beats them?

LSU losing to Mac Jones would be borderline 1/09/12 comical.

Genius. They'll just give up a game to a team they have owned for the last 8 years because the game against a team that actually has beaten them 2 of the last 6 should be an easy win.

Just one problem with your point, only one SEC team makes it this year.... Clemson OSU and OU will all likely be undefeated...

Remember when the pundits' narrative in 2014 was that Ohio State wouldn't be put in the playoffs when they lost JT Barret, since they had to resort to their 3rd string qb and therefore wouldn't be a contender? I do.
Funny how their attitude is changed this year, now that Bama is the one having injury problems.
