I'm just here to say I like Jase's chances long-term as his film was the one that impressed me. As for best in the league, it's usually UGA, Bama or LSU. And it's not always who you think it will be, as Clyde proved in 2019.

While this is truly a star studded cast of running backs..

I am old school and imo the success of most running backs is due to that OLine not the number of stars by their name...

This is reason for Bama's successful running game..

He’s the best RB in the SEC.

The problem is, his stats likely won’t reflect as much because he doesn’t run behind an OL like Georgia’s or Alabama’s.

It also might hurt that Mike Bobo is the OC. He’s not the most creative play caller.

Honestly, the best back who has no depth behind him is usually a good leading indicator for who will end up leading the conference in rushing in a season. Tank would be my darkhorse for some conference-level postseason recognition. He needs his whole team to step up more than I think they will to make a stab at national-level recognition.

I have my eye on Achane at aTm. Injured much of last year, but the man has jaw dropping speed and it was on full display in the Orange Bowl. There are a lot of good rb's in the SEC and we'll just have to wait and see who has the best year.

So Saban signed a 5 star and 3 4 stars in the same class. How in the actual hell?

I get that the RB position is devalued now, but there's only so many snaps in a game.

Op how about posting a relevant statistic?

Fuk stars. Out of the top 30 SEC rushers last year Alabama returns 0. Texas A&M returns 4.

That includes this week's SEC T&F freshman of the week.

Yall gonna have a big problem on yall's hands when yall come to College Station.

You are probably one of the majority saying Aggies would do very well to win 6 games in 2020.

We will be better in 2021. And you are going to be surprised when we again trot out a stud OL. Jimbo earning every penny.

I guess McLellan and Williams are classified as freshmen because every player gets another year due to Covid, whether they played or not. Same with Trey Sanders. This will actually be his 3rd year. He was a 5 star and showed a lot of potential but injured his foot his first year at UA, then last year, just when he was coming around, he had an auto accident. I see, according to that graphic, he's considered a redshirt freshman. I am not sure if he received a medical redshirt his first year.

edit because I spelled McClellan's name wrong. Best damn Irish running back in the nation and is not at Notre Dame.

Fish may fear you but I doubt Nick Saban does.

I was much more impressed with McClellan than Sanders. Both in their HS highlight tapes and in the PT last year. But Sanders was starting to come around before he got hurt again.

Gotta remember all conference teams are voted on by coaches who mostly suck arse and dumb cuck journalists.

The saltiness in this one is strong. It's ok to admit that other teams in the SEC have great running backs. I know you think your team is god and is better than everyone at every position but that just isn't the case.

Actually, the best year, or even the guy voted all SEC, doesn’t necessarily equate to the best running back. Personally I doubt any Alabama r b will get enough carries to be all sec.
