Bama is better than 3 of the 4 teams in the playoffs - and would beat them on most Saturdays.

The other one would be tough.

Doesn’t mean they deserve to be there.

Yes I think they are one of the four best teams in the country right now. While I’m not a huge fan of expanded playoffs it would be beneficial to cover teams that have seasons like this because it’s really about how you finish that counts-just like in the basketball tourney.

I agree. You can't tell me TCU would have been favored in that matchup, and if all it would have taken was Daniels to airmail the 2-pt conversion, and Bama would have been in?

They were one of the 4 best teams

You could have picked Alabama, Tennessee, and maybe 1 or 2 more to be in the playoffs over Ohio St. sorry but if a team get beat down at home by a little over 20 points without really extenuating circumstances like a star player or 2 out then that team doesn’t belong in any kind of playoff in any sport.

I will

Something that Bama and Saban has never, and will never, do in the playoff era

This is one of the more damaged posters on this board. I can’t remember how many backup Alabama QB’s ruined his year but you would expect these people to bounce back at some point. Yes, Bama is your daddy. No, you don’t have to live your life as a beta simply because of this fact.

We are where we deserved to be. If any season without a title is a disappointment, it makes for a very unhappy existence. 11-2 is a good season

Enjoy a great win in the Sugar Bowl where multiple nfl picks cared enough to play because they live the game and their teammates.

Alabama should have been in the playoffs?

Except they lost two games and didn't look very dominant in a few others.

It seemd they just never came together as a dominant team. Most Alabama fans didn't feel we were deserving, even though on a good day we compete with anyone.

Kodous to UT for beating us and the same for LSU.

Eh, more that TCU probably shouldn’t be but I don’t know who you put in over them.

They played this KSU team twice - beat them by 10, then lost in OT.

So the outcome of this game is interesting but I don’t think it’s the end all of TCU’s claim.

Besides, TCU can shut up any detractors simply by beating Michigan.

Nama is one of the top teams. There is not a doubt. Let’s see what happens on these playoff games though before we really can make any statements of fact.
It is just unfortunate that good teams do get left out. Alabamas regular season decided that for them “in the eyes of the committee” even though they are a great team. Saban also made a critical bad decision when commenting a day before they sat down to decide.
It would have been really hard leaving out TCU because of the “media/other fanbases/conference importance to NCAA. They have to make it look like everyone has a shot to make it.

You’re correct…shitty calls in the Tennessee game made that happen.
