Browsing the Bama roster and was shocked,Is the state of Alabama short on football ready men? Entrance requirements to hard for in state kids?Would Alabama be as successful with an homegrown heavy roster?

WHY?

Because we can. We recruit nationally, and the talent we acquire from states like Georgia is usually better than the options we have in state.

Alabama only produces around 10-12 truly SEC capable athletes per year.

We, as a state only have 8-10 4* and above talent each year.

We're en route to possibly a third title in a row and fourth in five years. I think the formula in place is the correct one. Get the best kids that will play, regardless of which state they come from.

Texas, USC, Florida... all in talent-rich states that boast about only needing to win their state, yet Alabama is the current king of college football.

On a side note, that's why Auburn recruits heavily in Georgia and Florida each year as well. Even if either school snatches 80% of the top-tier athletes in the state, it isn't enough to fill out the yearly scholarship numbers.

Some of our best players have come from Ga and our best coach came from your university just as your most successful coach went to Auburn. So what??

Umm...I think the back-handed point he is trying to make is that the male stock of the "native" bama citizen is pvssy.

the idea of Jameis at Bama or Auburn.... the crystal football might not leave the state till Obama leaves the white house.

Well tell the UGA staff to put a fence around your state and stop letting Auburn, Bama, FL, SCar, Tenn leach off of ya.

Who on earth does LSU compete with for in-state recruits? Tulane? LA Tech?

End yourself.
