I was afraid we would be a charmin soft west coast team by year three.

I was hoping there would be a drop off in physicality as we got further from the Saban era but there wasn’t from what I could see. Maybe there’s a slight departure from the suffocating defense but it’s been more than made up for with the offensive firepower.

Being that close with a freshman QB and not being able to run the ball last year speaks highly of the coaching staff.

That arse chewing couldn’t have been more appropriate. Hats off to Deboer for that.

How many plays did he miss with the injury?

He’s doing a very good job this year. Y’all look to be a pretty damn complete team. Glad the fanbase is happy to have him finally.

Dude is not Saban (no one is) but he was a home run hire at the time and as time goes on, he proves it again and again. For post-Saban, I am satisfied.

it's so on brand for this fanbase that seeing coach get unhinged and yell and cuss at people is what's finally won them over.

Totally missing the point. It's not that he gets unhinged or going off on a player. It's that he's showing he gives a damn and is willing to work and correct things. Most Bama fans thought he was too laid back, couldn't be farther from the truth.
What most rival fanbases have feared has come to light. Bama now has a young energetic coach with a Saban like mentality. Bama ain't nowhere near back, but the trains a comin!

I’ve been a Deboer fan for a while, but there was a group holding out because they felt he wasn’t the right fit personality-wise. I think the Georgia game changed that.

Seeing Ha-Ha pull 5 back around to take his chewing feels like something that would’ve happened during the prime Saban years.

You would certainly hope so.

I don't think kalen could be less-saban like if he tried. The dudes are practically polar opposites both football wise and off-field wise.

He’s a very good coach. Could you get a better one? Maybe if you got lucky but I wouldn’t count on it

Which is ironic because the coach steers the team. It is his culture.

You may have missed the irony.

I guess drawing a distinction between one person hitting someone in the head and the other not doing that was a bit too much for you.

You may have missed that minor difference.

But why don't you tell us how Kirby's leadership dictates a team culture where players and staff are involved in drunk street races that end up killing people?
