Alabama loses the most because of NIL + Tex/OU expansion - True or False?

In the short-term...
Saban's process does not adapt efficiently to the new market valuation model (eg, $1 million+ HS QB recruits)
All in for QB vs. Ohio State's model of sharing value with value producers
The sharing of value with critical O-line and receivers with hi potential QB recruits is not efficient in Saban's process (vs. Ryan Day's Ohio State model, for comparison) in short-erm. "The Process" adaptation is not efficient.
Bama slides back
Yes? No?

I mean they're gonna lose the most because we're gonna be playing them year after year. We historically dominate them

Saban is the goat because he adjusts well. Bama's decline will be when Saban declines.

Saban will adapt just fine. He’s shown to be pretty damn adaptable.

We are going to do this again? How many times does the man have to adjust for you to get it?

Just like in Pasadena. Right?

If Bama loses a lot … I imagine the rest of the conference won’t fare well either

What makes anyone think Saban is going to struggle with NIL? He was actively using it to seed a recruit marketing point about how his QB was faring w/r/t endorsements to a room full of HS football coaches.
Stuff like NIL will only help not hurt the programs already at the top and Alabama is already at the top. Being a valuable program brand is a competitive advantage for endorsements to players.
People have really warped ideas about who Saban is…if he was as inflexible as people make him out to be, he’d never won another title after his 3 in 4 years in the late aughts and early-10s.

Horns have won zero games against a Saban coached Bama team.

Nick Saban has what? 9 years of NFL experience with head coaching experience?
And Ryan Day had 2 as an assistant.
Who do you think will understand how to manage high value players?

shite that is underselling it. Texas hasn’t beaten Alabama in not only the current generation of recruit’s lifetime but most of their parent’s too.

Saban was advocating 10 years ago that players should be legally compensated.
He was ahead of everyone as usual.

And Bama's going to reverse that record against Texas reeeaaall quick!

I think Texas and OU have the "potential" to hurt BAMA. Only because they are in a better conference now and that opens more doors in recruiting...If they lockdown Texas recruiting again, look out.
I only say "potential" because there are other factors like coaching. If Texas and OU get the right coaching staffs and start winning in the SEC, then they become a juggernaut that is hard to take down...Texas high schools start feeding them 4 and 5 star recruits like a river flowing into the sea when they are relevant..
The other thing is Saban won't be around forever, he is like an enigma already, most successful college coaches at big schools are flat wore out and done after 12 to 15 years..His amount of success will be hard to replace at BAMA...

Alabama has been a relevant program on the national stage in nearly every decade since the 1920s. I’m pretty sure they’ve got the most decades with at least one national title in the modern era.
Is the standard Saban set unsustainable? Obviously. Winning 6 titles in 14 years is stupendous and essentially unparalleled even compared to Alabama’s other all-time legend head coach. Paul Bryant needed 25 years in Tuscaloosa to win 6 titles.
If Mike Dubose can win the SEC and beat Steve Spurrier twice in a single season…If Mike Shula and Dennis Franchoine can win 10 games at Alabama…I think Alabama can find someone after Saban who will manage a decline that still results in something that is a very fearsome opponent for all the great programs.

Bama is Bama. Saban is old. But Bama is still Bama

Saban is the devil, and i mean that as a compliment.
The dude can manage to lose World beating athletes and replace them with meh players who become world beaters. Look at the Heisman lists. He loses half his staff every year and never takes a hit. I mean he owns 1/4 of the head coaches in the SEC, as in they were his assistants. He is on his own level. Bama will 100% take a hit when he leaves. But they'll only fade to good. Saban can more than figure out how to navigate the NIL to Bama's advantage.
