In the short-term...

Saban's process does not adapt efficiently to the new market valuation model (eg, $1 million+ HS QB recruits)

All in for QB vs. Ohio State's model of sharing value with value producers

The sharing of value with critical O-line and receivers with hi potential QB recruits is not efficient in Saban's process (vs. Ryan Day's Ohio State model, for comparison) in short-erm. "The Process" adaptation is not efficient.

Bama slides back

Yes? No?

I think LSU is the one that will loses the most!

Alabama has been a relevant program on the national stage in nearly every decade since the 1920s. I’m pretty sure they’ve got the most decades with at least one national title in the modern era.

Is the standard Saban set unsustainable? Obviously. Winning 6 titles in 14 years is stupendous and essentially unparalleled even compared to Alabama’s other all-time legend head coach. Paul Bryant needed 25 years in Tuscaloosa to win 6 titles.

If Mike Dubose can win the SEC and beat Steve Spurrier twice in a single season...If Mike Shula and Dennis Franchoine can win 10 games at Alabama...I think Alabama can find someone after Saban who will manage a decline that still results in something that is a very fearsome opponent for all the great programs.

I agree..I don't think you can ever truly take down Alabama, I mean you can't take them out in the way that OU and Texas took Nebraska out...You can make Alabama irrelevant for a few years maybe, but they have advantages that old powerhouses like Nebraska don't have, the main one being an awesome recruiting territory. If you are sitting in the middle of good recruiting territory, you are always just one good coaching hire away from being great again; especially, with Alabama's history....
