Yea I dunno, I'm tired of the over the top break downs of this stuff.

Clemson is awesome. They whipped us. They're our equal as a program at this moment and the current national champs. Nothing about the ACC or SEC really matters in regards to the 2 of us, IMHO.

I really don't know what these trolls want Alabama to do here. Shut down the program and drop football I suppose.

I can tell you what's going to happen. Bama has a tough road to get back. LSU will be better. Aggie will be. Both with experienced QB's. Auburn will be very experienced at the LOS and we have to go there. Get by them and the rest and we still have to beat likely a very motivated UGA just to get back to the playoffs. But this will be a better Alabama team and I think they get there.

Someone tell me about Clemson's grueling path.

This is when Nick Saban and Alabama are genuinely dangerous.

They go on a tear for two years, and everybody thinks they're the greatest team ever and then they drop one nobody sees coming. To Utah, Auburn has done it to them a couple of times, OSU, Clemson, whoever.

Then people something like 'they're overrated' or 'they need a slap in the face' and they just start tearing people apart, and it's rinse and repeat on this process.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see them just run through everybody this season. This article comes from an Alabama website? I wouldn't be surprised to see it come from a fanboy who noticed this pattern as well and is trying to give them some bulletin board material.

Which is it?

BCS era vs playoff era. SoS doesn't matter very much anymore.

Yes Clemson is better.

However, and it sickens me to defend Saban, but this is what a head coach is supposed to do. You're supposed to figure out where you went wrong, you need to identify your problem areas and work on them. You can't blame someone else. This is why I don't blame refs for the A&M loss, WE fricked that game up! Saban isn't worried about if Clemson is better, he's worried about improving his team.

Summer of George, you are one of the few Alabama fans on here that accepts it and moves on.

Every year is different... two years ago, Bama beat Clemson pretty good. Last year Clemson returned the favor. Both great programs. The excuse making this year is annoying from Bama fans/players/coaches and other SEC fans, but that is their prerogative.

I love that Bama gave the Clemson team something to hang their hat on this offseason and fall camp. If we meet again, you better believe that Dabo will be feeding them all the quotes about how much better UGA is than Clemson and how it was about Bama and not Clemson being good.

How does throwing his own coaches from last year under the bus help his team this year?

In this case, the teams were obviously not very good to begin with. And I never said that.

Also, you can be a great team, play in a hard conference and still not make it to the playoffs. So much for that thought. Right, 2018 Georgia?

Not any team. But a great team like Clemson does. And that's why they'll repeat as 2019-2020 Champs.

Man. That’s a brutal article. I like watching Bama lose as much as anyone, but give them a break. Sometimes you just get your arse beat. It’s not the end of the world.

Yet another example of what is said in the article.

- No matter the motivation
- No matter the bulletin board
- No matter the anger
- No matter the disrespect

At the end of the day, Clemson is just better.

Very brutal. But I agree with the writer. Nothing in that article is false. Don’t make excuses. Gotta just admit that they’re better and move on.

edit- Alabama and Clemson have gone 2-2 the last four games against each other. The previous year, Alabama destroyed Clemson. Last year Clemson lost a huge amount of 4 year talent on defense. Clemson better pray they do not see Alabama this year.

Oh, and by the way, that article sounds like it might have been written in 2013

Somebody's bama jelly.

As long as whiteboots is your headcoach. No one will ever discuss, pontificate or debate over why lsu lost a playoff or championship game.

Ever.

Don't agree. Clemson doesn't recruit at the same sustained level as Alabama. Their recruiting has been #10, #7, #16 and #11 ranked classes.

They beat Bama just because they convinced a few d-lineman to come back and Alabama had some distracted assistants.
Clemson will take a step back this year.

They did whip alabama and if folks want to make the argument clemson was a better team in that game, fine make it. But only a drooling helmet head tries to make the argument clemson was 28 points better.

Clemson won that game for two reasons and both are legit. Alabama finally broke under the pressure of being alabama and I think seven coaches were on their way out the door at the time that game was played. Including both coordinators.

Alabama making it as far as they did is a testament to their greatness and also a testament to the power of nick Saban's personality.

People want to know why saban thinks Alabama lost. He coughs up an honest answer and folks piss on him for it. The guy isn't tone deaf and he can read his audience. He knows that when he tells the truth, he's gonna get the kinda shite he's getting now. He's the GOAT because he doesn't fricking care.

In fact, saban exhibits alot of the traits some of you assholes love about Donald Trump. He tells you how it is and then gives you the middle finger.

Alabama lost because almost an entire coaching staff didn't have it's head in the game and that's just the way it is.
