I never get tired of winning. I wake up every Saturday during football season excited about the day's action. Whether it is on TV or I am going to the game, I am like a kid in a candy store.

My degrees are based on a profession that allows me to be off every weekend, and that was intentional. I grew up in the Coach Bryant years, and these years are even better. Alabama's standard is winning games, and winning titles.

However, I think the fear of losing overrides the joy of winning sometimes within the Alabama fan base.

I have sometimes thought about what it would be like to be a fan of other teams that do not win as often as Alabama. To them, they just enjoy the win, and can get over the loss much better.

If you watched our games and knew what we knew about the QB sitting on the bench for most of the playing time, you'd understand what frustration is.

Yea - I don't consider a season in which we don't win the national title a failure.

2017 was not a failure. 2014 was not a failure. 2010 and 2013 were failures.

It never gets old. Sure, the big game butterflies only happen 2-3 times a year, but the stakes are so much higher that it more than compensates. This is a spoiled statement but I’m just as jubilant/happy/thrilled after the last championship as I was the first one over Texas. None of the championships are a certainty. It’s an incredible run and I feel really blessed for it to happen to my team.

IMO, it isn't boring when the stakes are high and Bama is playing a really capable team that can go toe to toe with them.

This past year, the AU, Clem, and UGA games had some excitement leading up to the game and during the game.

However, the rest of the year had to be "relatively" boring for Bama fans. I know those are the only 3 games I watched more than 5 minutes of that Bama played. Outside of those three, I maybe watched 15 total minutes of Bama football this past year. Now I'm an Aubie of course but most weekends Bama football is not something I'm interested in watching, the same way I'm not interested in watching any other noncompetive mismatch that doesn't involve my team.

we werent as good as bama but there was a period for awhile where there were only a couple of games on the schedule that really got the juices flowing. It was maybe slightly boring a few times but Les would always figure out a way to stress us out in a game we had no business worrying about to bring us back to earth.

They were to us for sure but most programs would party all year to win 11 games in one year yet that has been our floor for a decade. I will say that outside of two or three games each year there isn't much excitement watching us do exactly what I already knew we were gonna do. It is still a lot of fun though and I wouldn't trade it for a more exciting game against Arkansas or Kentucky etc. No offense to those two by the way.

Of course. 2005 college me thought that season, in which we lost to Auburn and LSU and won nothing of significance, was close to as good as it got outside of 1999.

I've talked with Bama fans who remember the 60's and 70's and those double digit (9 in the case of Auburn) winning streaks against your rivals. And the feeling of shock on the ultra rare occasions when Bama was defeated.

I think this era is even better even with the saturation of football. Old timers remember when Bama was on TV four or maybe 5 times a season including the bowl game if lucky. Add in the different media and platforms to discuss everything football related as well.

The high stakes nature does wear out some fans, I'm sure. But expectations can be adjusted. Personally, I think the all or none mentality is best for the program and the fanbase.

The best thing is that there is no end in sight. So no. Winning never gets old nor should it.
