Alabama defense played well enough to win the title, but Bama's offense failed

That's a kick in the arse for Bama fans, Golding coached a better game than Ala's OC. Can't score anything but field goals in the 1st half and expect to win. Ala's defense was somewhat handicapped just like Ala's offense, but they still balled, Bama's offense didn't. Bama's fans did not expect that!

Georgia’s defense played great

I thought Bama's defense played great, wasn't giving up runs as they did during the season against LSU and the Aggies.

That first half was a bitter slugfest. Neither side was allowing much defensively

When your two 1000+ recievers are out and having to play freshmen, the right side of your OL is banged up and 4 out of the 6 RB have knee issues then yes, you would expect the D to play better than the O and I dont care if Tom Brady is QB.
I know its hard for idiots to understand that and want to make troll threads but that is the reality.
That and the fact that this team actually made the Championship game is why you don't see Bama fans melting but other fans, mainly lsu fans giddy on here.

Why do you do this to yourself, when it's a damn compliment? Bama's defense and its DC were suspect all year, and in the title game, they balled!

I expected the defense to have to play a big role in winning the game Monday. Metchie was out and it was too much to hope that Smart would pull a Miles and try the same thing again in the second game. Points were going to be at more of a premium. That said, the team did more than enough to win. Now UGA did enough to win the game too, obviously, and this is to take nothing away from them. But on the Bama side I think two main factors were the difference between victory and defeat, and they were both on the offensive side of the ball:
1. The loss of Metchie and then Williams forced us to rely on young, mostly unproven receivers, and they did not rise to meet the challenge. Multiple routes were run wrong, and multiple touchdown passes that should have been easy catches were dropped.
2. With Bama's two leading receivers out of the game, our offensive coaching staff for some reason elected to continue to lean on the passing game rather than try to pound them with the running game. The one drive in the third quarter where we did try to do this we were successful and you could see the Georgia defense starting to wear down, but then we went right back to passing again.
Number one was the true killer. If our young receivers play even just a little better we probably still win the game. Number two is less certain but could have been a potentially promising choice, but for whatever reason we didn't take it.

Now deep threat when JW went down. GA changed its philosophy after that and it worked.

The 2nd time around Georgia changed up it's defensive plan, and, along with a rather raw arse, came after Bama's Oline and QB...the rest is history.

TTT. I know you are trolling Alabama, but most of us know what happened. We got beat in the fourth Q. Yeah, there are reasons… but sorry to disappoint you, we man up.
We lost, they won, they had a great team. Next year…we get a very experienced team. And we also get LSU on our own field and will likely pull a train.. but of course there will be an asterisk for “rebuilding. “
Ciao

Yeah - having our two starting WR's and biggest offensive threats out plus an OL and RB stable that is MASH unit was just total failure

6-7 is a failure. An offense struggling against a very good defense without many key players is not.

Fully expected it. The jealousy over being that
bride Saban left at the alter has them jumping on
anything remotely anti-Bama, even a ridiculous &
juvenile WillieT.

Alabama's defense played great, until they took the lead.
Then, Monken took Golding to the woodshed.
