Georgia's fans stormed their field only once in history and that was back on October 7, 2000, when the Dawgs broke Tennessee's 9-game winning streak.
Last year**......
**Tennessee stormed the field vs. Alabama and before that in 1998 when they defeated Florida...
**Vandy did it with win over Tennessee and has done it 3 other times since 2000....
Damn we really are your measuring stick aren't we

ALABAMA is the only SEC team not to have fans rush the field. I think it goes back to Coach Bryant who famously said, act like you've been there before. Which wasn't that hard to do, because we had been there before. Folks, it ain't easy being the Mecca of college football.

Yeah, that SEC Championship was brutal when Carry-On Johnson couldn't sniff a yard.
Pretty sure he had a separated shoulder at the end of the game against Bama the week prior. When he came off the field I knew he wasn’t going to be a factor in the SECCG

Alabama and Florida are the only SEC schools whose fans have never stormed the field
Well, gators makes sense. They have aversions to storms (especially when playing LSU)

We will storm the field the next time we beat Vanderbilt.

quote:thats a lie. Was at both games. Stormed for Bama. We beat the ever living dog shite out of uga at home that year. No one was on the field after that game
nd Auburn did it twice in 2017 with wins over Georgia

We did it in 2010 vs Bama
We did it against NMST when we broke a 21 game losing streak
We did vs UGA back in 2000 or 2001 haha.
I mean to be fair, its all good fun.

quote:I don't think that's correct. I think you're thinking of 2010 when we stormed the field against them, because it was our first win over Spurrier ever.
Kentucky did it in 2014 with win over South Carolina....
Pretty sure we stormed the field several seasons ago when we beat Florida at home.
We definitely stormed the field when we beat Georgia in 2006. I know because I was there!

Bama has stormed the field. Goes back to thr 50s. Al.com looked into it. Facts and SH$T.
LINK
Alabama football slipped far from the early success of Wallace Wade and Frank Thomas to the point of a 19-game winless streak from 1954-1956. So while a 13-12 win over Mississippi State might not seem like much to celebrate today, the Denny Stadium homecoming crowd of 25,000 was apparently quite impressed. Photos from the next day’s Tuscaloosa News showed fans on the playing surface celebrating with players after chanting about wanting a new coach in the second quarter.
Beating Auburn. Bear’s second year
And that led to one of the more notable fans-on-the-field moments in Alabama lore. Alabama had lost four straight Iron Bowls to Auburn from 1954-58 entering Bryant’s second year. A 10-0 Crimson Tide win sent the well-dressed fans past the Legion Field fences and toward the goalposts.

Storming the court/field/whatever is trashy.

South Carolina stormed the field and tore down the goal post when they beat New Mexico State in 2000. Stupid.
They did it again the next week vs. Georgia. Reasonable.
Georgia did it vs. Tennessee as you mentioned in the same year. Tennessee was 2-3. Stupid. Don't care how long the streak was. Have some pride.

Georgia players stormed the field after scoring a TD against Florida.

The biggest complaint I have heard is that NIL and the portal is causing people to lose interest in college football. By any definition, isn't rushing the field after a win the exact opposite of lost interest. Why is college football taking such drastic measures to curtail this? It reeks of pre 1990 and penalizing teams for excessive noise made by their fans.

Gator fans also stormed the field in 1984 after beating the mutts in Jacksonville. At home they used to line the field with cops ready to crack heads.

The most notable storming of a field to me was 1986 when UGA fans stormed Auburns field. Firehoses were turned on, fights broke out everywhere. UGA fans were tearing up the AU logo at midfield. It was a wild scene.

No, for expecting to win before the game and realizing when we won we were supposed to win.
Storming the field is for bush leaguers who haven't won enough and have an inferiority complex.

The way to stop the "Field storming" is simple and will never happen again and is way more effective than taking away a home game. "Back in my day" (80's) if you ran onto the field the security and deputies would beat the everloving shite out of you with billy clubs. Even the drunkest frat boy thought twice about going onto the field!
